We decided to drive almost 30min to visit this place as we are fans of the Colombian cuisine as the food is always so good and fresh. Upon arriving there was a little wait which we had no issue as we were extremely excited to try this place. To our surprise everyone was given a table but us, even people who arrived after us. When I told them no one apologized to us but they did sat us. We were still open to the experience, understanding that things happen and it’s okay. We waited over 10min for anyone to even come to our table. We ordered drinks, appetizers and main course. To my surprise, it took a bit for a juice to be prepared and my sparkling water did not came and took another almost 10min. Our appetizer came and we couldn't eat it since we were not given utensils. Our waitress didnt even care to check if everything came out good or we needed anything. The sausage was hard as a rock like it was reheated in a microwave. The arepa was okay. Our food came and wow what a disappointing. I ordered the seafood casserole since its one of my favorite dishes and what i received was a bag of frozen seafood. Not even a spoon was provided and couldnt eat it as there was a hair in it. My husband steak was a piece of rubber and the beans were cold. Although we told the server of the situation, and gave them a chance to try and fix our experience, it felt that she did not cared enough to turn our experience around. We did not ate our food except for the small side salad and the two small slices of avocado that I had asked since I do not eat rice and they charged us $4.57 on those. They did took the seafood casserole off the check but we paid for the rest of the food when we did not ate. We didnt want that outcome but instead having a positive experience but did not worked out. I understand that this is newly opened but I really hope that the owners truly step up in service and quality of the food. It has a great atmosphere and big menu which is great. Sadly we will not be...
Read moreStreet-side the restaurant is pretty unassuming. I've actually passed by several times and have not considered stopping (bright yellow with bars on the windows). Recently I made a new Columbian friend and they suggested the restaurant for lunch. It was some of the best food I've had in a while.
The front of the restaurant is actually around the back of the building! It's so cute! And there is parking on that back side as well. Once you get inside, the decor and atmosphere gets even better. Recently, they installed a bar, which is beautifully lit and decorated as well.
The food was great. My friend ordered us pandebonos which are very similar to the Brazilian tapioca cheese buns (if I could make a comparison). These were better and bigger. He also ordered us beef empanadas which were heavenly. Each South American country (I feel like) has its own take on empanadas - these have a beef potato mixture inside that was somewhat blended - excellent consistency and flavor. The drinks were beautifully garnished and were delicious. For lunch I had the skirt steak and shrimp - delicious. It was cooked perfectly and very flavorful.
It was quiet during lunch on a Thursday - so I really hope this review inspires others to stop in. I wanted steak, so I paid closer to $30, but everyone else ate for less than $20....
Read moreMy visit to Tierra Colombia was an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely perfect — warm, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Every dish I tried, from the appetizer to the entrée, was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The attention to detail really stood out, making each plate feel like a special experience rather than just another meal out.
The drinks were just as impressive. Not only did they taste amazing, but the presentation was spectacular — you can tell the staff takes pride in making everything look and feel top-quality. While the prices are on the higher side, the old saying “you get what you pay for” definitely applies here. The quality, flavor, and presentation more than justify the cost.
The menu is also extensive, offering a wide variety of Latin dishes that highlight the rich flavors of Colombian cuisine. Whether you’re going for a casual meal or a special night out, Tierra Colombia delivers both authenticity and elegance. In my opinion, it’s easily one of the top 10 Latin restaurants in the area — a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates great food and an exceptional...
