Desi Chaska is decent at best. I ordered Palak Chicken, Garlic Naan, and a Mango Lassi. The chicken was on the bone and undercooked. For curry dishes, it is much better to have chicken off the bone and plentiful at that. The three pieces I received that were skimpy and undercooked did not make for an ideal dinner, but was decent enough for the price. Garlic naan was processed and nothing special. Mango lassi was good and the side salad on the house is always appreciated. The atmosphere at Desi Cheska was not the best. Loud Indian rap music playing in the dining room. I thought I could disregard it, but by five minutes of sitting in there, I looked forward to leaving. Desi Cheska is not ideal for those seeking a dine-in experience nor someone, like my situation tonight, wanting to find a place to have a good dinner in peace. I would recommend Desi Cheska for those looking to eat Indian food on a budget. My order came to nearly $22 before tax & tip. That is an affordable price for my order, especially compared to local competition. I am not sure Desi Cheska will last long due to the ongoing and upcoming competition in the area. I would recommend them to find ways to improve, but for now, if you are looking to eat Indian food on a budget, this may be your spot. For me, I know and will stick to much better places.

If you're looking for an authentic desi halal dining experience, Desi Chaska in Somerdale, NJ, is a must-visit! From the moment you walk in, the inviting ambiance sets the tone for a delightful meal. We tried their Halwa Puri, Choley, Aloo Paratha, and Chai--every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Halwa was rich and indulgent, the Puri and Aloo Paratha were perfectly crispy and soft in all the right places, and the Chai rounded out the meal beautifully. The service was exceptional--attentive, friendly, and quick, adding to the overall great experience. To top it all off, we were offered complimentary Kheer, which was a wonderful treat! The creamy and perfectly sweetened dessert was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. What makes this place even more special is that it's run by Maqbool Ahmed, the restaurant veteran behind the beloved Tandoori Kabob in Voorhees, NJ. His expertise truly shines here, with every dish showcasing a commitment to quality and taste. Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or a traditional meal, Desi Chaska is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-notch desi cuisine and excellent service in the area!

Wow, I am so glad I stopped by Desi Chaska on Friday for takeout! I had been excited to try this place, and now I wish I hadn’t waited so long—this restaurant is absolutely amazing. From the moment I picked up my order, the wonderful aromas coming from the bag made the drive home feel like an eternity. We ordered the 10-piece haryali kebab, lamb kebab, garlic naan, zeera rice, chicken kebab roll, kheer, and lassi. Every single item was incredible! The chicken was cooked perfectly—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The way the flavors and smells blended together was truly special. On top of the outstanding quality, the portions were generous enough to provide two full meals for my husband and me. The takeout service was wonderful! They provided an accurate wait time for my order, answered my questions, and even made helpful recommendations when I asked. Desi Chaska is truly a new gem for Pakistani and Indian cuisine lovers. I can’t wait to go back!
