Desi Chaska is decent at best. I ordered Palak Chicken, Garlic Naan, and a Mango Lassi. The chicken was on the bone and undercooked. For curry dishes, it is much better to have chicken off the bone and plentiful at that. The three pieces I received that were skimpy and undercooked did not make for an ideal dinner, but was decent enough for the price. Garlic naan was processed and nothing special. Mango lassi was good and the side salad on the house is always appreciated.
The atmosphere at Desi Cheska was not the best. Loud Indian rap music playing in the dining room. I thought I could disregard it, but by five minutes of sitting in there, I looked forward to leaving.
Desi Cheska is not ideal for those seeking a dine-in experience nor someone, like my situation tonight, wanting to find a place to have a good dinner in peace.
I would recommend Desi Cheska for those looking to eat Indian food on a budget. My order came to nearly $22 before tax & tip. That is an affordable price for my order, especially compared to local competition.
I am not sure Desi Cheska will last long due to the ongoing and upcoming competition in the area. I would recommend them to find ways to improve, but for now, if you are looking to eat Indian food on a budget, this may be your spot. For me, I know and will stick to much...
