G&G Pizzeria — Restaurant in Somerdale

The customer service here is TERRIBLE. I placed an order on a Weds at dinner time after ordering here before and knowing they deliver to my address. Girl on the phone gives the total and says about 25 minutes. So i was surprised when I get a call from the pizzeria 20 mins later..the girl explains that she was told to let me kmow they can't deliver to my address because there is only one driver and theres traffic.I know the girl was just relaying a message so as mad as i was I wasnt going to take it out on her I ask to speak to the manager who I thought would maybe apologize offer a discount anything.but this guy could care less and just bluntly said they dont want to deliver to me because theres traffic. I said don't you think you could have told me this when I placed the order 20 mins ago so i could have made different arrangements?!?!He blamed it on the counter girl saying she is new. I dont care if shes new or not she knew that they deliver here because im already on file and have ordered there before and really Some team player he is shoving the counter girl under the bus. That is soo unprofessional. My kids and I have been starving waiting to get our food . he said you can still pick it up. if I had known from the beginning I would still be mad but now I am infuriated. Not to mention last Saturday when I ordered I waited over an hour before I called they said they're on their way I was fine with it because im not a jerk and understand things happen but to here the manager not even feel sorry for letting me wait around to tell me they basically can only deliver food when it is convenient for them just shows he is only money hungry and not the type of person I want to give my money too. I've long known that G & G makes literally the best pizza in all of South Jersey. Your pizza sauce is one of the few I don't find offensively sweet or fake or too herby- it's literally delicious, always served in the right amount and your pizzas are, with no added instruction- the best I've ever had. The one time I got too adventurous and ordered a combo of fancy ingredients that I didn't enjoy- I didn't even say a word, because I've had SO MANY excellent pizzas, I knew this was simply my preference and had nothing to do with your skills.

Last night, however, I made a GRAVE mistake; within full view of my husband and parents;

I ordered your Cheesteak pizza (with added mushrooms and garlic) and it came when they were all both home and hungry..

Their big eyes and sad pouts lead to me SHARING said pizza. I am now without leftovers the following day, and I'm INCREDIBLY traumatized that my entire family now knows how excellent your pizza is- because I fear I'll never get a third or fourth slice again.

My advice to anyone out there; Yes- thiervpizza costs a little more. It's not your National Chain's two for ten dollar deal; don't let that matter. It's by far the BEST pizza you'll ever eat. Ordered through slice for 6pm delivery for a party I was having. They delivered at 4:40pm and no one was home to even receive the pizza, I saw it on my ring camera. I called and they basically said oops ok we’ll deliver new pizza at 6. Great! So I called a neighbor and said hey there’s pizza on my doorstep, feel free to grab it and eat it for dinner. I would have just had to throw it out when I got home. At 6pm they deliver new pizzas and the driver asked for the old pizzas back. We explained we didn’t have them. He then got the owner on the phone, who tried demanding the old pizzas back and told us “come on, this isn’t fair to us, we’re going to lose money”. I again explain the situation and he was getting upset on the phone, so the conversation got heated and we basically shut our door on the delivery driver. By the owners demands for the pizzas as well as the nature of the comments he was making, I fully believe they were going to take those pizzas and put them in the case to sell by the slice. After the pizzas had been in my possession for an hour and 20 minutes. This is extremely concerning and I would be cautious eating there for food...
