Hot Bagels & More 1996 — Restaurant in Somers Point

The bagels are the best I ever had. But the amount of spread was comical. I ordered a bagel, toasted well with Olive and pimento CC in both sides if bagel. I got an under toasted bagel with not enough Cc to cover enevn one side. If you are a fan, and have been eating here for years, you know that is far off what they use to give. It used to be so full that it would be spilling out the sides and you would have enough excess that you could fill an entire 2nd, sometimes 3rd bagel. So, I was disappointed. I dont get here much, so when i do its a treat. So i went in and asked for mire CC for my bagel, letting the employee know there was barely any on the bagel, they gave me a full.side and charged me over $3. Also, I got a piece of baklava, which I grew up eating # the greek.fesival. I have gotten it @ Hot bagels one other time m. It was delicious before, and this time it was incredibly dry. Like the entire top layer was flaking and has to sweetness. Just not what I was used to, but it was still okay.

Found this bagel shop through a review I was reading online. And very glad I checked it out. The bagels were really delicious and they had a good variety to choose from even when it got a little bit later in the day. They also seem to have a variety of cream cheese to choose from. The Sesame Bagels were delicious I do wish they would have listened when I ask for it toasted very dark as it was kind of really soft but honestly NO ONE ever listens when I ask for that so I didn't hold it against them lol. Had a great little flavor to the bagel definitely not your average lenders Bagel but a good tasting homemade bagel. I am weird but I love the fact that the sesame seeds are on both sides of the bagel. the coffee was okay not too strong but okay. The young ladies serving us were very very helpful and friendly. They stayed so nice and friendly even when it got really busy on Christmas Eve afternoon. Great customer service. Overall I will definitely return when I am in the area. Not good. I needed a bagel tray for Tuesday morning so I called this place on Friday afternoon they told me "call back tomorrow to speak with the boss" I called back Saturday at 10:00 the girl said "we're too busy, call back in an hour" I called back at 11:00 she again said "we're too busy to take your order" I told her I need to get this off my plate and finally after practically begging she reluctantly said she would take my number and have someone call me. They must have all the business they need so I decided to search Google again and called Bernie's Bread in Ocean City who isn't even open on Tuesdays this time of year. The boss Gianni said he would make the tray and deliver it for me and they're not even open that day!
