I placed an online order tonight 2/5/21 for 2 smoothies and a BLT salad around 5pm. I went to pick it up via the drive thru. I sat for a minute until the person inside realized someone was at the window. She asked how she could help me and I told her I placed an online order and gave her my name. She brung my smoothies said have a good night and shut the window. I thought I was crazy because I knew I ordered food too because I was starving. I had to wait again for about 5 min before she returned to the window. She asked if she could help me and I said yes, I also ordered a BLT salad. Her response and attitude changed quickly. She stated," yeah, I left you a vm telling you we dont make salads after 3pm." I asked if I could have a refund and she said no. I assumed I couldn't get a refund because I paid with google pay. I then asked well what could I substitute it with. She looked around as if she was searching for what they had left in the cafe to offer me and she said a carrot or beet salad. I asked what came in them as I'm breastfeeding. She named a few items and ended with says and a bunch of spices. So I was hesitant and she said looking over her shoulder oh I can give you 2 muffins, their 4.00 each and will equal the 8 for you salad. I wasnt happy with that, but said ok as my options were slim to none. She gave me the muffins and slammed the window. No salutation or anything. This was my first and last time going here. I was so excited to find a local place to try and this quickly ruined my experience. I felt like she was trying to steal my money... why didnt she bring it up as soon as she brought the drinks like oh I tried to reach you, but got your vm. We dont offer salads after 3 so would you like another smoothie, a carrot salad, beet salad or muffins? We dont have much left because were getting ready to close, I'm sorry about that. But no she handed me my drinks and shut the window even though she knew she didn't give me my salad and never brought it up. I cant lie I am upset about this. I sure did hold onto my tip as I drove off unhappy and still hungry after a 10hour shift. I threw out the muffins as they weren't what I wanted. Customer service is key. Especially to small businesses. The service I got tonight let's me know that person who served me is not loyal to her business or customers as she was shady with my money and and mannerisms. Read moreYesterday i purchased a protein smoothie bowl from Goji in Somers Point as i have many times before. The difference is that this time I found a large piece of plastic in my bowl (after eating 90% of it) I almost broke my tooth on it and couldve easily choked on it. I went back into the store to alert them of the problem so they could prevent it from happening again. I expected to hear something like shock that it happened, and a we will address this immediately so sorry. .instead what i got was oh yeah thats a piece of the plastic containers that hold the frozen fruit...they break sometimes thanx for letting us know have a nice day..not even the offer of a refund! On top of that it was obvious that this was not the first time its happened! Thinking maybe the woman I dealt with was an employee who didnt understand the seriousness of the situation..i felt compelled to contact the owner by phone so i called the store. Surely the owner would want to be aware of the situation and do something to prevent this from happening again. When i called a woman answered and told me she was the boss...and also told me she was the one I had talked to earlier...WOW! So i proceeded to ask her how she was going to prevent this from happening again. Her answer (after admitting that it had indeed happened before) was that they simply throw out the plastic bins after they crack...thats their solution! Clearly it does not work or i wouldnt have found plastic in my food. I also pointed out that its obvious the plastic went through the blender which means there were also smaller pieces of plastic in my food that i had unknowingly consumed that are in my body now! Plastic! Also had i not hit it with my tooth it couldve easily lodged in my throat and caused me to choke to death right there in my car alone in their parking lot! How is this okay? To make matters worse the owner/boss seemed to have a very cavalier and uncaring attitude about the whole thing as she told me shes sorry for MY situation. She took no responsibility whatsoever for the situation and had no plans on changing anything regarding the plastic bins. I find this disturbing! Read moreI was greated with a welcoming "Good Morning!" I ordered the Twist smoothie and Berry Slam smoothie, As a new place, they were training employees so he did not ask me what free add on I wanted in them. The add-on sign was hard to see( structure was in the way) and didn't have another on hand I had to look on my phone to see what they were because he didn't know the options. I also ordered the Classic chocolate bowl. I waited for about 10minutes for all of my things to get done (again, they were training so I understood) while I was waiting I was offered a free cold pressed juice from whom I assumed was the owner that was training the employees. Overall the items tasted great and customer service was on point. Will be frequenting this place...
