Go Panda — Restaurant in Somerset

Just finished having lunch at Go Panda a few minutes ago. This was our first time there - and it definitely won't be our last! My husband and I have been waiting 3 years for a good Chinese restaurant to come to Somerset and our patience has paid off. To say the food was good would be a disservice, because the food was actually absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The crab rangoon was the best we have ever had the joy of consuming - the shell was oh-so-light and the filling was surprisingly generous. I ordered the chicken cashew and was not disappointed. Yes, it was fixed differently from chicken cashew I have had in the past - and I loved it! The fried rice came with it and my taste buds cried with joy. I usually order steamed white rice because fried rice I have had at other restaurants is usually so dry. This was not the case at Go Panda. Their fried rice is amazing and even more so when I added a little of their Yum Yum sauce to it. Our portions were so generous I couldn't finish mine (although husband did his), and am looking forward to the leftovers for supper. Our waitress was friendly and made sure to check on us from time to time. Our meal was topped off with a bill that didn't require a second mortgage, and we left happy (with full bellies) knowing we now have a place to go for great Chinese food...

Usually the seafood , pork fried rice and eggrolls are wonderful here , today the coconut shrimp tasted microwaved , the rice was bland and the eggroll tasted like nothing but grease , when talking to our server about it she didn't have anything to say other than she'd tell the chef , the staff preceded to then gawk and stare at us as we packed our dog a togo plate , no apology no comps on the food, just cold judgmental stares , we love this place Usually and have left 5 star reviews of it in the past but this establishment isnt going to stay open much longer if they don't listen to the customers complaints and continue cutting corners with the quality of the food , I hope upon returning to eat here the food is as good as it was previously and that they properly train there staff to handle the needs and complaints of the customers. No one wants chewy shrimp thats been heated in a microwave served as fresh , I know it was reheated because we've took home the coconut shrimp before and reheated it in the microwave and it tasted exactly like that today compared to the delicious dish we had last...

This is my first visit so I’m rating 4 stars until next time. I was here today 12/13/22 and I have to say the hot and sour soup was the best I’ve had, some places forget about the sour part and you end up with hot and spicy not here the chicken and cashew was perfect the egg rolls, what can I say first time I had egg roll and not have oil on my fingers very well done! Don’t let this place fool you because if no buffet because your food is cooked to order and you do get plenty to eat in fact I had to get a to go box . I hope this place stays in the area cause god knows there have been many restaurants at this location and Somerset really needs this place to stay. Come out and try for yourself you won’t be disappointed.I will be back to try other items on their menu but this place will be my go to for the hot...
