Rendezvous Bar — Restaurant in Somerset

I took someone special to me here on the 10th of August, 2017. We had a phenomenal experience! We're both from the Minnesota Metro area and were looking to just get out of town for an evening. Without being aware of the festival in Somerset--nor knowing anything of what lied beyond the Stillwater Bridge--we went for a joyride and stopped at Rendezvous Live, hoping for some amazing pizza.

Now, before I go any further, I want to say that I'm no fan of the animosity and rivalry between Minnesota and Wisconsin and consider myself a "Friendship Ambassador" of sorts, consistently making trips to Wisconsin over the last decade-plus, meeting people, making friends and giving business to local establishments wherever I go. My travels have ranged all over: from Madeline Island to Washburn to Washington Island to Manitowoc to Green Bay to Milwaukee to Hudson and all points between. I have met all sorts of amazing people and have been consistently happy with my experiences. West-Central Wisconsin and its delightful and vibrant farmlands are right in my backyard in the Twin Cities and I love the trips I've made since I moved to the Metro; we've generally gone from Hudson as far in as Roberts, but decided to venture slightly north this time.

Rendezvous Live met--and exceeded--my expectations. I gave the bartender a generous tip for the friendly chatter and both the person I was with and I found the ambience to be to our liking; with Dubstep playing over the speakers, laser lights shining off the tables, low lighting in the dining area and a television playing Law & Order, we settled into a very comfortable night. The pizza...oh wow, it was phenomenal. There was lots of cheese and pepperoni, just as I had requested...and the flavour was beyond compare. We'll certainly be back and will recommend it to our friends, family and loves, too!!

I love, love, love this place! I usually come here with the family for dinner every other Friday night. The woman who bartends is so "on it!" She literally never leaves my glass empty and pays a ton of attention to details. After only two times of coming in she remembered our order too, I was amazed. She's super nice and is pretty much the main reason we come, besides the great pizza. It's hard to beat pizza like that. It's the best pizza in the Somerset/NR area. Darts on Thursday nights are also pretty fun here too. It's definitely more of an adult place, but I'd say it's safe to bring a family here with older elementary school age children in the early evening hours. We have had success doing so with an eight year old around dinner time and did not...

Ordered a pizza and pizza fries. We were given two pizzas. The staff didn't go above and beyond to make it right. We also didn't complain and said "it's fine" so that is our fault as well...
