Bendix Restaurant Family Dining — Restaurant in South Bend

Like it's sister restaurant, Bendix Restaurant Family over on Western Ave, the food here is delicious! Service is top notch. The menu is almost (if not entirely) identical to to the other restaurant but that's not a bad thing at all. Bendix on Miami is closer to my house, small and cozy on the inside, and rarely crowded the times I have been there. I've always gotten breakfast from their HUGE selection. I love Mexican food and they have a large menu for that that I have been wanting to try. Prices are very reasonable for the large amount of food you get too. They close at 3pm but serve breakfast the entire time. If you're late to rise and want some delicious home cooked breakfast or just wanting to try something new on the south side of South Bend, I highly recommend...

They do not serve the black customers like they serve the white or Latino customers. I ordered a meal with pancakes, she brought out everything for me, besides syrup. A older white couple comes in, they get they food, Lord behold, they got syrup for they pancakes. She didn't forget to bring it, that's just how they look at us and treat us, thinking we don't see or know. There charge $5.75 for a half order of biscuits and gravy, a half order. Make it make sense. They smile at the whites and there own kind, us blacks, get mugged and no smile, just no courtesy for us at all, only unless we spending hella money for the over priced food there serving of there own made up prices. I've been to this location twice, years apart. The first time I ordered the huevos rancheros, and it arrived at the table with tepid refried beans. I sent it back and after a 10+ minute wait it came back to me with overcooked eggs and beans that still weren't hot. On my most recent visit I again ordered the huevos rancheros, and they weren't much better. The beans were merely warm. I didn't send it back based on my last experience. The others in my party ordered toast with their meal and it wasn't brought to the table until they were mostly finished with their meals. Our server was mostly missing during our visit. While the menu is extensive, many items were crossed out. I will not be going back...
