Where do I begin? I’ve been waiting to post this review on Google, but in light of recent events, I’m finally doing it. Ever since R Bar moved to their new location, things have gone downhill. One of the owners, Amy, is legitimately one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. I witnessed her, with my own eyes, berate a customer for touching the rope that goes around the VIP section. The place was absolutely packed and there wasn’t any seats left. People were standing, and it was an obvious accident that this person touched the rope. The VIP section can be reserved, but really it’s just a section for Amy and her wife to show off how powerful they think they are. At the end of the drag shows, the emcee draws attention to Amy’s VIP to “thank” her for everything and they do shots. It’s the same thing every time there’s a show. Now that I’m done with the egotistical stuff about Amy, let’s talk about the food. Oh boy. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS for frozen food. I will say their ranch and their fries are fire, but it’s not worth the price anymore. I realize the market has gotten crazy, but cmon. R Bar is not an elevated place in the least. One time, I ordered a Bloody Mary and it took over an hour to get to my table. When it arrived, the mini cheeseburger and wing it came with were cold. Lastly, let’s have a conversation about how nice seen Amy treat drag kings and queens. She treats them by putting HERSELF on a pedestal and promising the performers all these great things, but doesn’t follow through. Can we also talk about the time that she somehow managed to have a queen that had been on RuPaul’s DR and “forgot” to pay them?!
I’ve said my points, now you can decide on being a customer or...

From the moment we walked in, I was met with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The Bartender Amy went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and it was clear that this place is as much about community as it is about good food and drinks.
Speaking of the menu, everything we ordered was exceptional! The flavors were spot-on, and you could tell that real care goes into the food and drinks. Each drink was crafted with precision, and it’s safe to say we savored every sip. The karaoke, though, was the highlight of the evening—funny, lively, and completely entertaining! It was a joy to watch. There was such a positive energy throughout the night, and it felt like everyone there was just out to have a good time.
One of the most unique and charming parts of this bar experience was the two friendly bulldogs who greeted everyone coming in and out. They brought such a warm and homey touch, making it feel even more like a place you want to come back to. It’s not often you find a spot that welcomes both humans and their furry friends with open arms.
I can’t wait to return, especially on a Thursday night for more karaoke! I’m already planning to bring more friends so they can experience this gem of a spot. If you’re looking for a place with a fantastic vibe, great food, and drinks, and the perfect balance of laughter and warmth, this is it....
Read moreDebated even leaving this review but I think it's necessary. I went here with my sibling and their friend for the Thanksgiving drag show night. We arrived right when the show should've been starting but it was completely dead inside so we order food and drinks til the show started. I easily spent over $100 on food and drinks and my table was participating with the drag performers and tipping out $5 bills. Our friend had a bit much to drink and though we were respectful and not rowdy she did fall asleep in and out at our table. A bouncer came over and gave us an ultimatum to wake her up or leave. We woke her up and talked to her not even 2 minutes later the bouncer returned and said "you're on my time not your time figure it out in the foyer." I believe this to be incredibly rude considering how kind we were to staff and performers all night. It was freezing outside and they had no idea if we'd arrived by Uber or not. If you can't take some time to recover at your local queer safe space then where can you even go? We even told the bartender we were getting her food and water to sober up while enjoying the drag show. Very disappointed with how we were treated and won't be returning. Definitely telling all of my queer friends to be weary...
