Went to celebrate my birthday with my family. Table of 5. My father is a wheelchair user. Our waitress was kind enough to open the door for us and move a chair to accommodate the wheelchair. She was very patient as we struggled with choosing our orders (Four Seafood Boil Orders & One Fried Platter). Everything sounded so good we had a hard time deciding! After figuring out our orders and our appetizers (Calamari & Steamed Oysters), it didn't take very long for the appetizers and the fried platter (scallops - which I'd ordered) to arrive. The calamari was delicious and came with a sweet chili sauce that surprisingly went well with the Calamari. The steamed oysters were quickly devoured. I joked to my family that I had a complaint about my food, "these scallops are so juicy that my breading won't always stay on when I bite into it!" But all jokes aside, the scallops and fries were absolutely delicious. Perfectly fried with many LARGE pieces of juicy scallops included and plenty of fries. I ordered an additional side of coleslaw, and while I thought it tasted good, my sister and her boyfriend had wished it had been sweeter. Everyone else dug into their boils once it arrived just as we were finishing up with our appetizers. My parents ordered an extra side of 3 corn cobs as their order only came with one cob. There were absolutely no complaints as everyone dug into their food with gusto and concentration. For dessert, my sister and her boyfriend ordered Lava Cake, but it was more like the Torta di Chocolate one used to be able to order at Olive Garden rather than the more familiar Lava cake that have been ordered at other chain restaurants. It was still tasty, but it had a thicker/richer consistency than a traditional cake. Not what was expected, no sauce filled center, but it didn't taste bad at all. My mother ordered Key Lime Pie. She complained about the consistency (some sort of gelatin/pectin was separated into the pie filling), so I recommended the Tiramisu like I'd ordered. The mascrapone on our cake was frozen, but it was delicious and a decent sized portion. We both enjoyed it. My dad went with the waitress' recommendation of Chocolate Cake, and it truly looked like the best dessert choice as she'd said. The cake was moist (not frozen - lol), and the icing had tiny little chocolate chips on it. Plus, it was also decent size - not too small and not too big. I wish that there had been an option to rate the food as 4.5 because the complaints we had were super minor, and the staff was so accommodating. The biggest gripe we had was that our drinks were expensive bottles rather than fountain drinks with free refills. However, there seafood prices are so reasonable that it kinda makes up the difference, and it certainly won't stop us from coming back the next time we have a hankering for some crab or a seafood boil! Would definitely recommend this place to others!

Uncle Benn is back and wondering since you heard about this restaurant. Why haven't you stopped by? Well, know that you won't be disappointed in your meal or service. The Poboys are top notch no matter which one you choose. To address the GUMBO in the room. It's a [spin] on the New Orleans style. However, it's flavorful and worth a try with one of their salads for a light lunch that won't have you nodding off during a meeting. And worry about the Seafood Boil mess they got the table covered (Bib not included) ;) Come welcome, Juicy Seafood to Halifax VA.

Juicy Seafood is just the place I have been looking for in a long time. They have great seafood and other items in their restaurant. We have already been there twice, and we have both enjoyed our seafood platters we ordered. We did a take out order, and when we picked it up, they gave us a really nice bag that had their restaurants logo and kept the food very warm. I ordered the crab legs and lobster and got corn and sausage in the plastic bag, all tied up with the butter I chose for them to cook it in. Very delicious.

It was our first time visiting Virginia and came across this restaurant. This restaurant did not disappoint!!! The boiled seafood is a must, especially the Boiled shrimp with GARLIC BUTTER-mild spicy. I should have tried the Medium spicy too. Head-on shrimps were humongous!!! I tried some of the shrimps with shell. And it also has good flavor. Then the headless shrimp is also good because it absorbed the flavor. I love garlic and, so the garlic butter was perfect. You can see the garlic bits in it. I wish i took a photo of how I basically used the shrimps/and corn as “spatula” to get the flavor. I’ve eaten alot of boiled seafood from the south, like around New Orleans/Louisiana and Mississippi, but hands down, this restaurant has the best Boiled Shrimp with Garlic Butter. If I go back to VA, I wanna go back here….with my ricecooker… (they don’t have steamed rice). Still would give them 5/5… as that is how much I enjoyed the food! Oh, it came with corn and...
