Cain's Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in South Carolina

I grew up being taken to Caine’s each and every Friday night and their bbq was my first introduction to restaurant vs “pig pikins”. I had no idea just how spoiled I was by their bbq and red gravy until I moved all across the country as an adult. I found some really good restaurants that had pretty good food, but I found none that were as good as theirs. We moved back to sc last year after being gone and I’m embarrassed to admit just how happy it made me that not only were they were still open but that the food was as good as I remembered it being and now my kids look forward to Friday evenings at Caine’s as much as I did at their age and it’s really nice to be able to keep the tradition going with a new generation of budding bbq...

The posted price for the buffet is not what you actually pay. They add over 25% gratuity without notice. Some of the food is really good like the fish, shrimp and hush puppies. The cashier was carrying on a count with another customer and completely ignored us when we went to pay. Even after my husband moved his way in and offered her the ticket, she finally rung the order up and put the card into the card reader and turned back to the customer that she was talking to previously and continued her conversation. Man listen. This is luxury food!!! It’s worth every mile/penny/moment!! This place is where you bring your family. This is a family place where you can guarantee nobody is a stranger. I had the fish.
