Zapatas Grill Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Florence

Food is pretty good. Service is horrible! I sat at the bar with a friend. No bartender. We waited for 20 minutes while waiters and waitresses repeatedly walked by ignored us. I asked one of them to find the bartender to serve us. After another 20 minutes of waiting for a bartender I got so frustrated that I went to the front of the restaurant and confronted the staff. They literally told me that the bartender was busy as if that's an acceptable response lol. I demanded help and they finally sent someone over. At the end of the visit no one would come close out our tab. We waited another 20 minutes to close out and I finally grabbed someone to take our payment. This person explained to me that she couldn't ring us up at the bar and i would need to walk to the front to ring out. I explained that I would not be walking anywhere and to please process our payment so that we may leave. She processes the payment and i walked out before my friend. When my friend walks outside he's irate. I asked what else happened and he explained that right after I left they closed someone's tab at the bar where they told me it could not be done. This situation is to detailed to be fabricated. I couldn't believe the way we were treated. I waited until the end of this review to say that i am African American so that you could come to your own conclusion. I honestly do feel like that played a huge part in the way they treated us. We are respectful gentleman and should be treated as such no matter what color we are. If that had nothing to do with it then i apologize but either way we were treated horribly and there's no...

This is the only mexican restaurant my husband and I eat at in Florence and the food is always good. With that being said I did not appreciate the service at all tonight. It’s always embarrassing to spill a drink in public and when we spilled a glass of water it all went downhill. Our server seemed young and new so I don’t blame her, but we didn’t have any help cleaning it up. There was literally water everywhere under the table and she gave us about 5 napkins before coming back and giving us a couple more. We were still trying to clean it up when she took our order. A full glass of water sat on the floor the rest of the time we were there. With all that being said the complaint starts here: PLEASE do not point at customers and whisper about them spilling something. Seriously? Come on people. At one point 3 employees literally gathered around the back of our booth and were pointing and talking about it, but no one came and spoke to us. Someone came and mopped water from the aisle but never from under the table. After about the 10th time I caught an employee pointing and staring we paid and left. Food tasted good as usual but we...

Got charged $4.00 on our burrito supreme they come with one shredded chicken and one beef burrito .. my finance requested if he could have grilled chicken instead of the shredded with that sauce in it . He gets his plate to see two grilled chicken burritos but didn’t complain when he told me that one was suppose to be beef it was no biggie . Infill we got our bill and got charged $$2.00 extra each burrito for grilled chicken when asked waiter he said yes it’s and up charge for grilled chicken and just said sorry we didn’t know but it wasent fair to be charged so rediclouse . He never took it off our bill and came back with change and before I realized he didn’t take it off I said we were confused because he got to thought one was suppose to be beef he said grill extra sorry and walked away .kinda crappy we come here all the time and tip good ..especially considering that our waiter we had the dime before we tipped him real good when like showed us the other table only tipped him...
