Extremely Disappointed with Customer Service at Captain D's â Anderson, SC (Store #3165)
I live about 45 minutes away from the closest Captain Dâs, which happens to be the Anderson, SC location. I visit Anderson at least three times a month, and I always make a point to stop by this Captain Dâs. Unfortunately, my experience today was extremely disappointing.
I went inside this morning to place an order. While the cashiers in the past have been friendlyâeven when condiments werenât availableâtodayâs experience was the opposite. The cashier, Kiara, seemed unhappy from the moment I approached. I ordered a 1-piece fish meal with two sides and paid $10.15 (Order #0005).
As I was checking my order, I noticed it only had one tartar sauce. I reached for one more from the container on the counter (sitting next to the straws and forks), but the cashier abruptly told me noâonly one per customer. I offered to pay for another, and she said there was no way to ring it up and that Corporate policy was one tartar sauce per customer.
Iâve worked in the service industry for 30 years, and this is not how you treat customers. There were no signs posted indicating a limit, and it was handled in a way that felt dismissive and unfriendly. Itâs especially frustrating because the sauce was right there in plain view.

   Read morePlease forget the good things that I previously said about this garbage dump. My last several delivery orders have been shorted. I've contacted your management, but they refused to do anything. They acted like it was coming out of their own pockets. One way or another, I am going to get what you owe me, even it's through the court system. I can prove my case, can you? As a moron I tried once again to order from this place, only because I truly love captain ds fish, but unfortunately this location can never get it right. Once again my delivery order never arrived. I'm so sick of being shorted, or never even being delivered period. When I order Jersey Mike's sub or firehouse subs, or outback steak house, or thia food, everything is correct every single time, but for some reason, every single time I order from your restaurant, the order is always messed up and complete. But when I order delivery from your restaurant but never even shows up, that's the final stake for me. I've absolutely had it with you ridiculous clowns at this location. I want my money back and some extra compensation. I'm contacting your owner again for the 4th time. This location is laughable. I hope that corporate captain ds will seize and take over this location, and finally turn it into the great seafood place that some of your locations have...

The food was just as I remembered, fresh and it was cooked to order, no complaints about that. The person waiting on me was not very personable nor did they smile or greet, the first impression was, get the order, get them out of the way and go back to what I was doing. Delivery of the order was in a timely fashion. The restaurant itself was very clean, the outside appearance was good also. The food has suffered from shrinkflation with the fish strips now being more breeding than fish, very thin pieces. The side portions had lost its value as well, price point, my opinion is a little over on price with what they allow to be served. I would however recommend if you like fish or their other products, even though itâs down in size, the same flavor...
