OH MY GOSH I AM HOOKED, THIS PLACE IS GREAT, IT IS THE "BESTAURANT" I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. AND THE FOOD IS GOOD TOO! ;-) ABOUT COURTNEY'S: THIS ICON AND LANDMARK FOR THE LOCAL FOLKS IT'S A HAPPENING FAMILY PLACE, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING 'CEPT MAYBE TAKIN YER SHOES OFF INSIDE... LOL REALLY AND SERIOUSLY (AS I CAN GET) ONE OF THE FEW PLACES THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO WHERE IT "IS JUST AS IMPORTANT TO THE PROPRIETORS AND CREW AS IT IS TO YOU TO HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE DINING THERE,! BUT, THAT'S NOT WHERE IT STOPS, OH NO, THE ENTERTAINMENT IS WHOLESOME FAMILY ORIENTATED, FUN AND JOY. HOW AND WHY CAN I MAKE SUCH CLAIMS, I WAS THERE, I SAW AND EXPERIENCED IN MY 1ST FEW VISITS, HOSPITALITY AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE ENJOYING YOU AS THEY ARE DOING A JOB THEY ALL SEEM TO LIKE, AS WELL AS LIKING JUST BEING THERE AND SO DO I! I MUST SAY I READ A REVIEW SOMEWHERE THAT SAID THEY DIDN'T LIKE THE RIBS.(DRY AND LIL'TASTE) I AM A RIB FAN BIG-TIME , RED BBQ SAUCE TOO. WELL TO THE PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T LIKE SOMETHING AT COURTNEY'S , YA MESSED UP, I MEAN YOU SOUND LIKE YA JUS GOT DISPLEASED AND LEFT! I AM SURE AS THE DAY IS LONG, IF YOU HAD MENTIONED TO ANY PERSON WORKIN THERE, OR HECK EVEN TO A CUSTOMER (CUZ MOST OF'UM ARE REGULARS) SOMEONE WOULD HAVE JUMPED AT THE OPPORTUNITY, TO SOLVE THAT FOR YOU! YOU NEVER HAVE TO LEAVE COURTNEY'S UNHAPPY NOR HUNGRY, THERE'S JUS AIN'T NO REASON FOR IT. SO DON'T GIVE'EM UP, THE NEXT DAY YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN THEN PLEASE COM'MON BACK AND ENJOY WHAT YA MUST OF BEEN TO TIRED AND HAD A LONG DAY OR YOU'D OF FELT AT HOME ENOUGH TO YIPPIE AND HALLAR HELP ME I AM FROWNING, I NEED SOM'ORE RIB JUICE, YOU KNO THAT JUICE FROM THE GODS YA BASTE THEM RIBS IN WHILE COOKIN'EM LONG, LONG TIME, MAKE YOU HAPPY, MAKE MY SISTER HAPPY, EVERYBODY HAPPY OK!!! NOW DON'T FERGET THE FOLKS AT COURTNEY'S REALLY ARE AS ACCOMMODATING AS I TRY TO OVERLY EMPHASIZE HEEYA, LUV Y'ALL MEAN IT... SEMPER FI YA DON'T NEED TA REPLY, JUS C'MON BACK BY! Went here Sunday after church. The food was good but the service was disappointing. They had 2 waitresses & they were rushing & running back & forth,!!! There wasn't that many customers in there. But to me they acted as if they were in a big hurry to get done like they were going somewhere!!! It was crazy!! The waitress would run (literally run!) Past each table hollering " Are you good,?" ",You need anything?". They acted as if they were in a hurry to get rid of you & quite a few left!!! I asked for extras to take home cause I had leftover BBQ. BIG MISTAKE!!!!. Which I was going to pay for of course. I told them I wanted the collards ,& another sweet potato. She told me ' Oh! I'll have to see if we have enough leftover to give you,". I'm like What,??!!!! Seriously?? Like they were worried about other customers coming in & wanting some!!! Needless to say & very disappointed she comes back 5 minutes later & says ,," We don't have anymore". Then watched as she took other people's credit card or money & went to the register to pay for their tickets. Well..as I sit & waited for her to come get my ticket & money, which she NEVER did,!!!! I had to get up & ask where to pay for it,!!! I went to the register & paid. I am Soooooo dissatisfied with the service, them rushing & running & they made me feel they were in a hurry to get rid of you,!!! Oh!!! A lady came in & could barely walk & had a walking cane( I knew her). Bless her heart ...this place had the doggone front door locked!!!!!!! So she had to walk all the way down to the end of the building the last door to go in!!!!!!! I felt so sorry for her!!!! She told me later ..she may not go back!!!!! So....you have most likely lost a few customers that day!!!!!!!!!!! Courtney's used to be a great place of service but now it stinks!!!!!! I & others were VERY DISSATISFIED with the service...

Always amazing! I have been in the restaraunt industry for almost 20 years and the one place I regret never applying to was Courtney's! The staff is 'down-to-earth', professional, and efficient, making you feel like you just got to a big Sunday evening Family dinner with the family (but not open Sunday nights-just an example-but stop in Sunday morning? You'll be stuffed for the entire day!). I am very critical when it comes to restaraunt service and etiquette, with experience in every area of a restaraunt, and I can genuinely say that Courtney's BBQ in Clover has stayed true to their roots and origin. I order the Pulled Chicken plate with collards and mac n' cheese almost every weekend and my fiance orders the Pulled Pork Plate with baked beans and mac n' cheese (YES! It is that good!), and always order take-out. I have not been inside of Courtney's since 2007, when I was a senior at Clover High, visiting one of my best buds, Micah Dunlap, a cook at this hometown joint. When I walked in on Saturday for the first time since then to pick up our order, the staff that runs the show now? Upon arrival, these new employees I have never met, immediately made me feel welcomed and as comfortable as my long-time buddy Micah would back in 2007!
