I have frequented this restaurant and ordered take out for years and have always enjoyed this restaurant. However over the past year I have watched quality and service deteriorating. Gradually the prices have gotten higher while the portions have gotten smaller and the ingredients have gotten inferior. Today was the last straw. I placed a carry out order that will definitely be last. I ordered a LARGE bag of chips for $5.50. I received a less than half full small lunch size bag - not what you used to get. You get a massive bag for the same price at Monterrey. I ordered a Large cheese dip for $10.50 and received a small container that was not full and half the size of what they used to give. I ordered 4 entrees and the salsa we got was a half filled small ramekin. Things are more expensive l, I get it. Maybe if I was a new customer, I would not know any better. But, I am a long term loyal customer who has purchased the same items for years and I know that corners are being cut at my expense. Save your money and go elsewhere. There are still restaurants out there that take pride in their food and give value to their customers.

This place is absolutely terrible! The service was the worst I have had in years and the food was just as bad. I was going to bulgogi next-door but they were closed and I noticed the Mexican restaurant was running a seven dollar lunch special for fajitas. The server brought us water, but didn't come back with the food for about 15 minutes. When the food came it look like it was cooked earlier that afternoon, since it was dry and cold, the peppers for wrinkled, and the meat was overcooked. There was no moisture on the plate whatsoever, completely dry. The tortillas were so old that they were crumbling. The server never came back to check on us so we didn't even have a chance to complain, and when we went to leave, it took us another 10 minutes to pay because the server was nowhere to be found Norwood any other employees. They were only 10 people in the entire restaurant while this was going on and we were there for 45 minutes. I have had worse, Mexican food, but not in a long time. I can't remember the last time I had worse service, and I highly recommend staying away from this place.

This place is cool enough man. The food is at a very reasonable price and the portions are nice. They keep the place clean and service is prompt. The normal salsa they give is pretty bad. Like it's kind of sweet tomato adjacent bad. Ask for the spicy salsa, it's a mix of orange and green. It's some good stuff man. Still like negligible heat, like 1/12th if a jalapeno, but that's better than nothing. The chips themselves were crispy but not too interesting flavor-wise on their own. Or with the regular salsa. Their fajita quesadilla is pretty stuffed and that cook it just right. Slather some of that spicy salsa on that jawn and you going crazy. The rice and beans have noticable onions in them, if that's not your jive, then stay away. I will say, it kind of put me off that the TVs were there but they weren't on anything. The was honestly more distracting than if they are on with something playing.

READ THE NEWEST REVIEWS!!!!! The one below me had the same happen to them. We used to love this restaurant but its been going down hill for some time. We went in there for lunch just today and had a horrible experience. First the salsa for our chips was terribly bland. Like straight from a can, blended up and put into our bowls bland. No cilantro, no seasoning what so ever. The hot salsa didn't even have any flavor. We order our food and when my sons soft taci comes out there is a bug crawling out of the lettuce unto the plate!!! I immediately told the server to please take it back and get another one and he said he would tell Carlos who I assume is the owner. He brought us the same taco on a different plate. I could tell BC first, I'm not an idiot and 2nd I've been in the restaurant business 15+ years and know that when u make a fresh soft taco the cheese isn't completely melted. Anyway I asked the waiter if this taco was indeed to same one and just out on a different plate and he assured me it wasn't... Okay.. Whatever. By this time my son was screaming BC he was so hungry so we begrudlingly ate. I couldn't even finish eating I was so disgusted with this place. So I asked for a to go box BC my husband eata anything and said he would eat it. Carlos came by our table and didn't even iknowledge the bug or whether we were satisfied just a normal "how's everything" in a passing by sort of way. The waiter also told us when he brought the taco out there wouldn't be extra charges so I figured he would be taking that off our bill... NOPE we get the bill and he says to me I didn't charge you for the drink BC of the bug in the taco..... Wait. So your telling me BC YOU had a bug in the taco that YOU made to serve us we still have to pay for it... And this is what he said.. No kidding. "He ate it didn't he???" BC YOU TOLD ME IT WAS A NEW ONE.. Then he goes on to try to explain to me that the extra charge he meant he wouldn't charge me for two tacps BC that taco was made fresh.... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! At this point I was irate and threw the to go box said forget and left that disgusting restaurant.... Now had they tried to compensate the meal and offer to make our meal enjoyable in any way, yes I would have been grossed out and probably wouldn't have gone back for a long time if ever but I would have kept my mouth shut... But after that I hope that people will read this review and take to heart that this restaurant doesn't care about their customers, Thiers food, or their business... Please don't waste your time...

So yeah, all the bad reviews are for real. Honestly I’ve never ate the food since I have witnessed what occurs there for the last 4 years. I deliver food but not from here anymore. Will never step foot inside again even if it’s a good paying delivery order.

Of course drivers have to hit a bathroom somewhere so we try to time it where we might be picking up. I’m pretty picky on which places I want to go and this place is horrible. A good clue about a restaurant is the bathroom. No soap or paper towels is a BIG red flag!

First, let me explain delivery processes and problems here. It will explain why you don’t want to waste your money in the place or for delivery. Many times us drivers get a rude attitude from the greeter/host whatever. Then, either the order has been sitting forever OR they haven’t started it. So many customers have complained the order was cold, incorrect, missing items etc. As drivers we have no control over this.

The last attempt I made to get an order and I mean the LAST time I will set foot in there, I asked the guy do you no longer start the order until the driver arrives? I wasn’t rude but time is money. We had a little ā€œdiscussionā€ and he tells me I can just drop the order from the app and another driver will pick it up. Listen people…they do not care about a customer nor drivers who are there helping them to make money!

The bathrooms are disgusting. The staff is rude. The pictures of roaches are not surprising. Wouldn’t be surprised if the health inspectors shut it down before long.

Prospective diners you have...

Update Not sure if something was spoiled or food poisoning but I have been home for 20 minutes and having bad cramps and vomitting*. Do NOT eat here!

I asked the girl who brought out chips n salsa if the salsa was mild she said yes. The salsa was hot and my waitress was like yeah that’s our mild. They should really tell you the salsa is a very hot mild. I got a bean dip that was not great but not terrible. My waitress disappears and you can’t get a refill on drink or chips! She is very attentive to the Hispanic couple that was on a booth next to me. The other server here was attentive and helped his table out. I have seen him more than my own server. Absolutely ridiculous on the service. My server just appeared went right to Hispanic people. I had to ask for a refill even though she passed my empty glass 4 times. The food was horrible. My bean dip was 3 different temperatures. The pollo fundido stated in the menu it was deep fried. There was almost no crunch to it! The chicken inside had a very sweet taste to it as well. There are 2 more excellent Mexican restaurants literally around the corner from this place. Do yourself a favor choose one of those. Won’t be back to this place and I...
