This restaurant usually has really good food and so so service. Tonight both the food and service were bad not just for us but for multiple tables. There was only one very overwhelmed server in the front of house. For the first 30 minutes we waited without any acknowledgment even though he had gone to every other table twice. I finally went up to the register and said I know it’s pretty busy in here tonight can I just give you my order here. He said “ oh sorry, I forgot about you”. My order wasn’t to complex , I just asked for no rice. I follow a strict keto for cancer diet. I even reiterated just meat and vegetables. Fast forward another twenty minutes to the server coming out to the table beside us saying” you have been here a long time what did you order.” They told him and he came back a few minutes later and said they had lost the ticket and would be starting on their food next. He offered a free appetizer as a nice gesture for the mistake. We had the same thing happen to us last time. Apparently whatever ticketing method they use is problematic. So out comes our food, my husbands is fine but mine was no meat, and vegetables burnt to the hot plate. I mean burned so bad you couldn’t even stir them. I asked where my meat was and why did my plate have rice. He went back and after about ten minutes he brought half a cup of meat, possibly six ounces out. By this time my husband had finished eating and I had finished as many non scorched vegetables as I could pry from the char. I asked for a a little more meat for my trouble since what I received looked like a half portion of what I normally get. The lady in the kitchen said No that I already had enough. So I paid full price for a burnt incorrect meal with poor service unlike the table next to me who was offered apologies and free food. I can take service being slow and I don’t expect every meal to be perfect but the customer service after the fact left the most bitter taste of all.

I recently dined at Bulgogi, a delightful Korean restaurant located in Greenville, SC, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality from a staff member named Bradley and a cozy ambiance that set the stage for the meal. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the Bulgogi. This dish was an absolute revelation! The thinly sliced marinated beef was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The marinade was a delicious blend of savory and sweet, with just the right hint of smokiness. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness, and it left me craving for more. But that’s not all. The Honey Butter Chicken dish at Bulgogi was equally outstanding. The crispy, succulent chicken pieces were generously coated in a fantastic honey butter glaze that struck a delightful balance between sweet and savory. It was a true taste sensation, and we couldn’t get enough of it. The attentive and friendly staff at Bulgogi made the dining experience even more enjoyable, always ready to offer recommendations and ensure that everything was just right. In conclusion, if you’re in Greenville, SC, and looking for an authentic Korean dining experience, look no further than Bulgogi. Their Bulgogi and Honey Butter Chicken dishes are absolute must-tries, and I can’t wait to return for another visit. Bulgogi truly sets the standard for Korean cuisine in the area, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all food enthusiasts.

This is a great spot for an authentic Korean meal. Usually we test this theory out simply by eating the side dishes (banchan) when they first come out before the meal. Most places will refill no problem and they did just that. Not a fan of places that heckle you for eating the banchan and getting refills (some places in town do that) We ordered the tteokbokki appetizer which was a large portion which was fried and had a nice thick sweet and spicy sauce, not authentic but tasty nonetheless. We ordered the tofu soup with seafood which had shrimp and mussels with onions, zucchini and tofu. The soup had a nice flavor and was tasty with the addition of an egg. We also ordered the honey butter fried chicken which had a very crunchy exterior and soft meat inside. We then ordered the pork belly which was served on a bed of cabbage in a skillet plate which was crunchy and juicy. Lastly we ordered the bugolgi which has a nice sweet and savory flavor and we had wrapped it with lettuce from a side plate we ordered. The server was attentive and welcoming while service was quick and efficient. Would definitely come back!

The food here was amazing! The Golden king Mandoo was my favorite. Its the "dumpling ball" you see in anime. We got them fried and they had a beautifully crisp outside but the breading itself inside was super soft, Airy' and fluffy. the pork mixture filling was soft and savory and just melted in the mouth. I normally don't like dipping sauces but the sauce served with it perfectly elevated the dish to a different level with it slightly sweet flavor to complement the lightly salty flavor of the breading. However do not take it as the breading is salty it's not it's simply from where it's fried that gives it that salty flavor.

My husband got the Yong youm chicken, sorry if I misspelled that, it had a sweet honey like flavor, with a very slight smoke taste to it. It was nice and crispy. I don't know what it is about Asian Cuisine but it makes me like sweet Savory Foods whereas Western Cuisine does not do that for me.

I got the kimchi and pork stew it was exactly what I was craving when I wanted kimchi's soup. I got the spicy variant, though honestly it would be spicy to most American palettes wasn't that spicy for me, but it did have a really nice kick and it would definitely help you clear out your sinuses. They have a medium version that I feel that any less spice than what I had just wouldn't be spicy at all unless you really cannot tolerate spicy food.

I base that on the side dishes that you get when you first sit down at the table those being kimchi, cucumbers, and bean sprouts. The kimchi did not have any spice to it whatsoever from what I could taste though my husband said he did get a little kick from it. All in all this is now my go to restaurant for Korean food particularly kimchi soup. It's not Korean BBQ as self-serve barbecue place like, I think pork 27, up in Atlanta Georgia but you're not going to spend like $200 on really good food here like you would there.

Also I didn't get any, I noticed that they sell bubble tea here. I know there are some people that really love the stuff and I didn't notice it on the menu pictures and stuff when I was looking up a...

My Review is on the sole basis through the vicarious experience through my family, especially from my sister, therefore I say the restaurant is simply DELISH....so much Korean goodness that will devour your entire soul and envelopes your entire body to the Korean experience. This is how I imagine it: As I enter the restaurant my ears will tingle to the melodic symphony of K-POP while its rythm slowly manipulates my body to do a little dance. As I step closer to my table my nose begins to fill with sweet aroma of bulgogi and my belly begins to quiver in anticipation for my next Korean meal. I look through the menu and ordered..."beef bulgogi please with short bbq ribs and Kim chi soup...oh don't forget about the Kim bop too please.!" I sat there for what seemed an eternity, just waiting and waiting as I resist the temptation to dance and sing aloud to "Gangnam Style"...I almost faltered through PSY's dashing moves but alas the food finally arrived!!! My first bite was ambrosial...an enchanting delicacy as the bulgogi began to envelope my tunque and consumed my body. It was an indescribable feeling...shining shimmering feeling. A Whole New World! A thrilling chase, A wondrous place, dazzling place I never knew! It's crystal clear that now I'm in a whole new world with unbelievable tastes, an indescribable feeling! Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling through an endless deliciousness and I can't go back to where I used to be, it's truly a whole new world with new tastes to pursue! Every moment is a surprise! There is no time to spare I need to be there! Because it is a whole new Korean experience...
