I visited this place based on the good reviews....too bad I was disappointed in the food quality. The restaurant itself was clean, small and quaint. The staff was nice and friendly. Now lets get to the food. The "yum yum" sauce was just ok. I felt that it was lacking in flavor. I am not sure if it is made in house or not but it is definitely not the best that I have ever had. I got the seafood hibachi and was so shocked that there was imitation crab in there! Now we are in Charleston where fresh seafood is readily available so please help me to understand why there was imitation crab in the meal! This made me even more upset with the price point. I was also disappointed that she did not have any mussels so she supposedly gave me extra of the other seafood. The flavor was pretty bland and quite honestly did not taste like hibachi. It tasted like regular grilled seafood and veggies that you could get from any non-hibachi style Asian spot. I will not...
Read moreThis facility is extremely unsanitary. Our food smelled and tasted of strong perfume or anti oder spray. I called, they made me bring the food back for a refund (which is a little crazy because of covid. These dinners were in my home, opened and tasted) but I complied. They took the food back into their restaurant, opened them, inspected it and offered me half of my money back because the food was tampered with. Of course it was tampered with, we intended on eating it for dinner. After 10 minutes of arguing and fighting with the owner yelling at me in Japanese while their son tried to translate, I left. I will dispute with my credit card company in the morning. I’ve never been treated this poorly by a business In my 36...
Read moreGood food. But be sure they repeat what you order back to you. My husband and I wanted the Teriyaki shrimp, beef, and chicken with noodles. Got rice, and the lady told us we were wrong, we ordered rice, noodles cost more. No way to tell as the receipt only has a total amount due, not what each cost. This is after he asked for double noodles, and I said I wanted the regular portion. She was very adament about how she was right and we were wrong. Could have just been a language thing..but still good food. Except the rice. The "fried rice" only had soy sauce, no veggies, egg or anything I am used to batter living in Japan for 7 years...or from the first 3 times we've...
