House of Brews West Ashley — Restaurant in South Carolina

I really loved the vibe and environment of this place but something really bothered me about our first time visiting a couple nights ago. The bartender asked to keep our credit card for our tab, which is usual and no problem. However, the fact that the cardholder box she placed it in was literally sitting on top of the bar counter and less than 6 inches from a customer sitting at the bar and several other people inside was really disturbing. That cardholder box should be secure and out of reach of customers. I don't trust their security of my personal financial information if it's that accessible for anyone in the establishment to steal whenever he barkeep turns their back. She even went outside to clean up left beer cans etc which means no eyes were on that card box. I will be making sure this is addressed before visiting and ordering at...

House of Brews has been a great addition to our area. They always have a great selection of beer and the Froze is superb. Kayla is super helpful and very nice but I am leaving only 4 stars because the other bar tender, Chris, who claims to be an owner? Is super rude. His attitude seems better suited for a place like “Dicks Last Resort” rather than a neighborhood pub. Last time we were there he seemed more interested in watching the football game on his laptop and hanging with his buddies outside than helping customers. I’ve also noticed him clearly talking smack about customers after they walked away. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I feel that partners or management need to be aware of these situations. I will continue going to HOB because I love their selection, but will not be going any business unless...

Hob has become our “home away from home.” We’re so thankful they opened in our neck of the woods and have made incredible friends that feel like family here!
