Went here Sunday, June 18, 2023 to get my husband food for Father's day. Ordered food at drive thru around 2:40pm. Lady gives me time to decide what we wanted to order. Man comes on to take over the drive thru order. I make our order and get asked to pull up to wait on original 3 piece chicken meal with a chicken nuggets meal. When I get my order some of the fries were cold, salty, and had a taint taste to them. The rest were fresh. The ones that were not fresh made you want to 🤮 vomit. My husband taste his chicken and said something was not right about it. It had an horrible odor from where I sat. He said go back through or in and have them make him fresh chicken. Gave a young lady the chicken back and told her to make the whole dinner over please because the chicken was 🤢 nasty. Why she brought the same chicken box back out and ask us did we want it back😳 or make some more. I am confused 🤔. Told her we wanted fresh food. We waited to the side and were brought out what looked like the same box with changed chicken---was not just cooked😳. Then she waited right there and asked my husband to taste it. He could not because it stanked. She said we could get a refund if we did not want it. We choose the refund. My husband said they cooked chicken that had been spoiled. We went through drive thru for the third time to get a refund from the manager. He abliged. Got refund at 3:38pm. He was nice and courteous as was the whole crew we came in contact with this day. After reversing my card transaction to give me a refund on the original 3 piece chicken combo we told him the chicken was taint and old. He said he went to the back and checked the boxes(I guess after finding out we were coming back through drive thru to get refund) and the workers forgot to rotate the chicken and throw away the pass due chicken, which in turn caused them to cooked spoiled chicken and serve it. If this is the case why did he not stop the whole drive thru, and pull the people ahead of us to the side while we were waiting in line to tell him we wanted a refund😮. I mean were they not getting chicken from the same batch up until the time he checked the boxes, and would that not be some of the 4 cars ahead of us. At least he was honest. I refuse however to just blame the workers. The managers should check the boxes before they cook the food also. So I figured the person who fixed my fries obviously cooked the chicken, had on the same gloves, and put my fries in the bag. Cause some of them were not right. He said they had a whole new crew. I pray he teaches them to tell the difference between old spoiled chicken and fresh chicken. Also, teach them that 'cook me fresh chicken' is cooking fresh chicken, not getting me another out the same batch. Finally, why didn't he smell that bad chicken while it was cooking and before it went out.? The past crew about 6 months ago always had our food right 5/5. This crew needs training. I pray this food does not make us sick. Rethinking even ever going to this KFC again. So nice crew but bad food the last two times we came...
Read moreOn Sunday, May 26, 2024, I had a highly disappointing experience at the KFC location on 10125 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC. I placed a “QUICK PICK-UP” mobile order through the app, expecting my food to be ready by 9:30 pm. However, when I arrived at 9:30 pm, the door was locked, and I had to go through the drive-thru.
An employee greeted me and asked about my order. After informing her it was a mobile order, she left and returned, stating that all they had were thighs. This was unacceptable as I had paid for a specific order. Upon my insistence on getting what I paid for, she left again and came back, reiterating that they only had thighs available. I asked to speak with the manager, who displayed a rude attitude by rolling her eyes and expressing annoyance. She claimed that she was tired and trying to finish her count so she could finish her shift, dismissing my concerns and telling me to either take the thighs or cancel my order.
Frustrated, I decided to cancel the order but found that the app did not allow cancellations once the order was marked ready for pickup. When I asked for assistance, the manager unhelpfully told me to figure it out myself. This resulted in us leaving without our order and losing $22.
This incident reflects a pattern of poor service at this location. Every time I visit, I encounter issues, particularly with the availability of extra crispy chicken, which always requires a 30-45 minute wait. The employees frequently exhibit unprofessional behavior, including playing around, dancing, and using inappropriate language behind the counter.
This incident is indicative of a larger problem at this location. Issues with service and product availability seem to be recurrent, with long wait times for specific menu items being a common occurrence. The unprofessional behavior of the employees further adds to the chaotic atmosphere.
KFC is a brand that I have always associated with high standards, but this location severely undermines that reputation. The staff's disregard for customer service and the consistent lack of preparedness and professionalism are unacceptable. Paying customers should not be treated with such disrespect and indifference. Urgent action is needed to address these issues and improve the service at this location.
As a loyal customer, I expect better from KFC. The lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction displayed by the staff are unacceptable. Immediate action is needed to address these issues and uphold the standards expected of a reputable...
Read moreWe both had ordered the classic chicken sandwich combo and an order of popcorn chicken at the drive thru during the lunch time work week. It had been at least 2 years since I'd eaten at any KFC, mainly due to the convenience, or lack of it, of getting in and out of the location's parking lot I normally drive pass during high traffic hours. The employee working the drive thru presented herself as knowledgeable about the products, she was productive in speeding up the process by speaking VERY clearly into her mike and she was polite. I like "a little" more southern friendliness, but they were busy, it was the tail end of lunch time rush hour, and she did not sound rude or pushy at all. That's a blessing since COVID started. My only complaint was, she and we, had not mentioned the dipping sauces. She did put honey mustard in the bag, but that would not had been our choice. Still it was an honest over look on all of us, unfortunately it's become required for the customers to request any and all condiments any where you go now and I find that to be ridiculous. Every fast food place should give you napkins, salt, pepper, eating utensils that are required for your food order, and ketchup. But they don't anymore. Guess we, as patrons, have been putting company's in the poor house by their employees being trained to automatically put common sense items in our orders. But that's an entirely different rant for every to go food order restaurant. Lol. The food was excellent, better than I remember theirs being. But here's why I took the time to detail this the most. Their new fries are the best I've had in years. I'm talking size and taste. They seem to have a coating on them, but it's not over powering. In fact, that coating seems to be the reason they were not over cooked, or under seasoned. I'm a believer in salting fries immediately after taking them out of the grease, but I also realize that you can't do that anymore due to the amount of people salt is a no-no for. KFC has found the solution for the perfect tasting and textured french fry for me. I'll be back soon for...
