This was a poor experience. When we arrived, there were about 6 cars ahead of us in the drive-thru. The line moved so slowly that we waited approximately 30 minutes before we could place our order. There was no one in the lobby, however, you couldn't back out or get out of line in the drive-thru if another car is behind you because of the way the drive-thru is constructed. So once you pull in, you're pretty much committed. We got there around 9:30 and did not get to the speaker until 9:55. When we started ordering, the young man taking our order said "we don't have much because we're about to close". Mind you, they didn't close for another hour and keep in mind, we got in line at 9:30 so we were there an hour and a half before closing. When I asked what they had, his reply was "not much". I asked again what they had because I was not going to go through a list of 20 doughnuts just be told they told no each time when he could simplify it by simply telling us what they had. Finally we were able to complete our order. We still waited an additional 10 minutes before we got to the window and receiving our food, which is strange considering they clearly weren't making anymore food for the night. It should have been a rather quick transaction.
I go to Krispy Kreme frequently, often late at night, and I have never had this experience. But things happen and I do understand. But if a restaurant is out of their main product, maybe it would be a good idea to close for the night instead of staying open and providing...
Read moreI came to Krispy Kreme August 23 at around 10 o'clock for my first time on the 501 and I had a cashier named Kaitlyn and I was very upset with my order because they have strawberry field powdered donuts and I asked her if I could have four and she told me that I could not have those donuts because she did not know how to put the powder on the donuts and that she couldn't find the spray to put the powder on those donuts. And she said well I can probably get a regular doughnut and fill it with strawberry field jelly and she said oh wait never mind I can't because I think we are out of strawberry filled jelly. Then she proceeded on to tell me about how she liked working for Krispy Kreme but she doesn't like to eat donuts all the time because she doesn't want to get fat and she wants to stay healthy and I just thought in my mind well I don't need to know about your personal business. I'm not one to ever complain because I'm in the food business I'm a server and I know how it is sometimes but to tell me that I can't have an order because you don't know how to make it really struck a nerve in me and it made me question her abilities on being a worker and asking somebody hey I need your help making these donuts for somebody you obviously have on you just don't know how to put the powder on them so you're going to tell me I can't help Home because you don't know how to do it. Needless to say I won't be going to the 10501 anymore and I'll probably just stick with my...
Read moreDo you wanna be disappointed repeatedly, each time you visit a place? If so, the Krispy Kreme here in Carolina Forest is your place! Rest assured that on every visit, they WILL be out of something, they WILL have an excuse, and they WILL be slow :) This has been the case since pre-Covid. You would think that after several years of bad experiences, they'd get their mess together.... but nope! Bad management conquers all! Sometimes their gift cards won't be accepted because the machine is down, sometimes they won't have any glazed donuts because there's no one to make them, sometimes there will be no soda except Sprite, sometimes there will be no frozen beverages.... you must ask for straws with yiur drink, you must wait 20 minutes for a drive through order because there will ALWAYS be a staff shortage and the drive through worker won't be able to multitask....she'll be as close to a member of the special olympics team as possible.... yes, doing things one at a time and as slow as possible is the way here. They strive for turtle paced lackluster performance. Their craps are zero. Their management doesn't exist. Their training is zilch. Their work ethic is.... wait, they have none. If you want Krispy Kreme donuts.... you can't go to this Krispy Kreme.... you must drive to the beach where they don't...
