In response to the previous review.......... I was there the night the reviewer prior to mine was at Landolfi's. although he doesn't know me,I know him from working at Waccamaw Management in Pawleys. He was having a great time that evening, chatting it up with the bartenders and laughing, UNTIL his card was run and declined ! We were appalled at the way he and his female friend conducted themselves. This is a small, tight-nit community, and my dining friends and I have never seen such a spectacle before in our town. His card was denied on the very 1st swipe, not the 19th!! The owner came out and very discretely tried to satisfy the 2 of them, we ALL saw it. All to which his female friend or wife started pointing her finger in the owners face, yelling,"this is not OUR problem,it's yours, you have faulty credit card scanners, we are leaving"..... repeatedly !!! You could clearly see the owner was trying to keep the situation on the down low,but the 2 of them obviously wanted to create a scene,in what we all could only guess was their attempt to avoid paying their bill. Then after calling his bank and removing the hold put on the card and while signing his payment, he looked square at the owner and loudly called him an As@hol$ and yelling out " I will destroy your business online" and his female partner screaming out loud calling the bartenders BIt#hes !! At this point the owner stepped out to call the police and another patron got involved, telling the 2 of them who the true problems were, while the bartenders and a few more locals got behind them trying to persuade them to just leave. Except for one couple, the room was filled with locals all of which knew each other. We were all in shock when they finally stormed out, still spouting their vile words at us all at this point. My friends and I love going to Landolfi's on a regular basis, we all love everything from the workers, the owners, the atmosphere, and it also helps they have awesome food and desserts. The place wouldn't be so adored by locals if it were any other way. It's one of the only places still busy in the off season, year after year. As the owner, shaken and stunned, said after the 2 of them finally left, "I hope I never see them again in here............ but I can only feel sorry for my fellow restaurant owners who have to deal with them from now on" I...

Tonight was beyond disappointing with terrible service. We ordered 2 pizzas and water. How did they manage to get it all wrong?!? They had to remake 1 pizza because they forgot to add sauce, and I never got the sauce on the side that I asked for. We had to flag down a greeter to get me sauce and also ask her for drinks as our server was to busy to be bothered with service at our table. We waited and looked for our server several times to ask for the dessert and checks. Finally, I had to get up and go to the dessert counter and ask for our dessert because she also couldn't manage to bring that to the table after we asked her to bring it.(upon request, it had been pulled aside when we came in.) When I got home, I called and spoke to the manager. He said that he would talk to her and review tapes of this evening. Upon calling me back, he basically accused me of "stretching the truth" because all of this occurred in 1 hour and not and hour and a half as I had stated previously. He went on to say that he hopes I'm happy because he almost fired her when things got heated in discussions with her. Furthermore, he was on her side and that we would just have to disagree because he felt we got excellent service in under 1 hour. The fact that we had to ask other restaurant employees to get us what we needed wss chalked up to how "they pitch in to help each other out. Also, he said that she was very busy and working several tables, so he felt that we got great service. He hopes to see us again. 🤣😂 Wow, these are pretty low standards being set here in Pawleys Island. Clearly, this is another "local" favorite and obviously great if you have take out or dessert pick up. However, if you want good dine in service, go elsewhere. That is the takeaway after a few different dine in experiences that I have had...

Landolfi's Restaurant in Pawleys Island is an absolute gem that delivers an extraordinary dining experience! During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their P'hilly Cheesesteak special, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The cheesesteak was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and generously filled with tender slices of beef, sautéed onions, and melted cheese. Each bite was a delightful combination of savory goodness that left me craving more.

But what truly elevated the meal was the croissant. Light, fluffy, and buttery, it was the perfect accompaniment to the hearty cheesesteak. The croissant's delicate texture and rich taste complemented the robust flavors of the sandwich, creating a harmonious balance that was simply unforgettable.

The ambiance at Landolfi's adds to the overall charm. The cozy and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home, whether you're dining with family, friends, or enjoying a quiet meal alone. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is top-notch from start to finish.

In addition to their stellar food, Landolfi's also offers a delightful selection of homemade desserts and pastries that are worth every calorie. Their dedication to quality and craftsmanship is evident in every dish they serve, making it a must-visit spot in Pawleys Island.

If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Landolfi's Restaurant. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this place is sure to become one of your favorites. Highly...

I REALLY wanted to write a great review … (VERY difficult to find good, traditional Italian fare on the Grand Strand) … but The place is nice and comfortable (even has a wood fire patio area) and the service was good. It serves mostly sandwiches/Panini, Pizza, and deserts; it was the perfect spot for a quick dinner bite while travelling alone. I Loved that they made me a Café-Latte w/ Skim milk (rare near Pawley's Island .. though I see that a Starbucks opened up) and that they had a real wood-burning oven. Unfortunately, I didn't try any of the deserts. I did, however, order a Pizza Margherita, but, I was disappointed. Now, I'm not in Napoli, so I didn't expect perfection, but the Pizza was VERY bland. Don't get me wrong, I'm originally from Rome and we prefer non-spicy, non-overly-garlicky foods, but this pizza seemed to lack that salt and Extra Virgin Olive Oil needed to flavor a Margherita. The abundance of diced basil leaves (rather than a few fresh basil leaves) also didn't help elevate the flavor. The waitress did tell me that folks often opt to add tomato sauce and after tasting the sliced tomatoes, I now see why; they too were not at all flavorful ( to be fair, traditional Pizza Margherita [w/ tomato sauce] has many modern day adaptations and this is not the only one I've had where they forego the tomato sauce and only put the sliced tomatoes, but these should've been more ripe) Will have to return and try their panini and deserts, but for now, poor execution on the pizza but good ambiance & coffee.

We stayed in Pawleys Island for a long weekend and wanted to eat somewhere we didn't have back home. We tried to call this place but the call would never go through. We happen to drive-by and figured lets try it. The atmosphere was really cute. It wasn't really busy probably because people try to call and no one answers so they could have figured maybe they weren't in business anymore. I am so glad we ate here. The service was great. Our service was Lowndes. I only remember her name because there is a Lowndes County in GA. ;) The food was amazing! We got a pepperoni pizza and a chicken specialty pizza. Cooked in their brick pizza oven that you can watch them do. They were both delicious. Got the vegetable soup in a tomato base, yummy yummy. Orders came with a side and we got the cucumber salad and pasta salad. Both were perfection! I loved the cucumber salad the best of the two. Oh we also got a Lobster Claw which is a dessert pastry filled with cream. It was huge and very delicious as well. Will definitely eat here again when we visit next time.

I love getting to take my boyfriend to all the local eateries that he’s never been to, and that I grew up enjoying in Pawleys. Landolfi’s is still just as delicious as it was years ago! We split a caesar, he ordered a specialty pizza (snarfed down to quickly for a picture), and I ordered the cuban (pictured), and it was all delicious. Our server, Jamie, was very friendly and offered great service, despite the fact that the restaurant was completely full of customers. All in all, a fun lunch date, with a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back soon!
