Beware!! Save your $$$ Very disappointing! Not the southern hospitality you would expect! , we were rushed & told to hurry from the time we came in & rushed while eating , could not relax , 4/26 Saturday ⊠waitress wearing hat & long pony tail down her back was Rude did not get our drinks we had to get up & go ask for drinks & straws , napkins etc . She stared @ her watch & at acted bothered, very unprofessional ,kept saying itâs a wrap ! Itâs a wrap ! Hurrying customers. .. she should find another job! I get we are laid back in the south but to be rude is unacceptable the table behind us told us they had the same experience with her . My daughterâs been a waitress & would never treat customers like this!! so the sweet Spanish girl got a tip from us that got our drinks. She was so nice! She needs a raise or special extra incentive. The food tasted old & we got sick right after leaving there . My familyâ & friends have been going there for years but itâs definitely went downhill with quality of food & customer service . Donât believe the hype !! next time Iâll take my $$$, family & friends visiting the beach elsewhere for sure ! Cracker Barrel never disappoints ! Sad itâs gone downhill. Too expensive to taste old food & have your family kids & friends rushed., i normally Never complain but this was ridiculous to pay that kind of $$ for that treatment! Do better !! & tourists spend your...
Read moreApparently they do not like serving gay people, we went out this morning looking for a breakfast buffet and Mama Jean's was our first stop off Hwy 90. The atmosphere was very nice as we walked in, we were greeted and told to have a seat anywhere, the waitress would be right with us. My partner said thank you. Once he said that the tone changed completely. We sat there for almost 15 minutes watching table after table enter the restaurant. a few older couples came in and were waited on right away and a small family with a baby came in, all of them were waited on immediately, they got their drinks and we got nothing but dirty looks. I gave it a few extra minutes figuring that maybe we were just in a different section with a different server but that sadly was not the case. We were being ignored. I know that we probably could of gotten up and just helped ourselves to the buffet but that's not the way things are supposed to work. You are supposed to greet your guests and take drink orders. At this point we decided that this restaurant was not for us nor were we welcome there. So we got up and walked out, getting even more dirty looks as we walked out. So we went over to Tar Baby's where the service was outstanding! Our waitress over there was tipped phenomenally as well. We have no problem taking our "Gay" money somewhere else. Thanks...
Read moreWarning this will be long. SERVICE - Awesome, today Khalehla was our waitress. But all the other waitresses filled your drinks, checked on how happy you are with your meal. The best way to describe this effort is TEAM WORK, IT WORKS WELL. FOOD - portions are great. This was our 1st visit and Not our last. We ordered extra sides so we could try different items from the menu. Onion Rings were cooked just right. French Fries were seasoned just right and tasted great. The rest of our meal was very unique, and yes it would remind you of your mom's cooking. Grilled ham and Swiss on rye. Have not found this anywhere else in the area. Barb-Q plate, the pork was seasoned that gave it a vinegar, spicy mixture. Never had Barb-Q that way and definitely would not pass that up again. Mix the pork plate with the coleslaw provided and that is a home run. The Lima beans had a smoked flavor to them and as a lover of Limas we would get that again. If you're in the area come on by and check them. Buy a shirt or hat too. If you read my reviews please give it a like as it lets me know people are seeing them. Thanks Sean Arnold. SUNDAY 1-28-2024 I added a video of the Sunday Buffett. It's freaking awesome. Traditional Southern meals at a great restaurant. You can't...
