We had food delivered from No. 1 poke bowl today. The food came looking and tasting great until I pulled a long dark hair out of my bowl that was entwined in and wrapped around my food! After I was done gagging my husband called the restaurant to find out if they wore hair nets. They could barely communicate with him in English, but they said no, they didn't wear hair nets. Later, they texted his phone to say that they wear hats. When I tried to message them through the "contact us" on Google, the response came up in an Asian language that I could not read, so no help there. I spent $16 on a poke bowl that I could not eat. They are now texting my husband (which is very unprofessional) offering to send new food, but I couldn't eat it anyway. If they aren't wearing hair nets I'm sure they are not wearing masks or paying attention to distancing either. I hope I don't get sick from this place. Apparently they are refunding us, do that's good. Still, I'm extremely disappointed because I love Poke, but I'm not risking my health, and I'm so disgusted that I will never be able to eat there again. (Update) I'm glad to get the below response from the owner. Thank you for trying to fix it with us. I know mistakes can happen, and the food did seem really good at first, it's just that I was so grossed out by the fact that the hair was all wrapped up in my food, I wouldn't be able to eat another...
Read moreI work for DoorDash and pick up orders from this restaurant all the time. I was telling my husband about it as sushi is one of his favorite foods. He was extremely skeptical about poke and refused to try it. After almost a year of telling him about this place, he finally gave in and we decided to try it tonight. The restaurant is super clean and the owners are very friendly. I did the half and half bowl with marinated tuna and tempura shrimp, and my husband got the Hawaiian bowl. The fish and ingredients on top were super fresh and flavorful. The bowls were very reasonably priced, we paid $35 for the two bowls which is way cheaper than what we would’ve paid for sushi. My husband finally came out and said he likes this way better than sushi and I agree. This place is a hidden gem and I’m so glad we finally decided to try it. If you’re feeling skeptical and nervous like my husband was, don’t be. I promise you will not be...
Read moreFigured we would try since I saw great reviews online and since our move we were looking for new places. Some options like avocado looked awful and didnt look before I selected it in my bowl (tasted mushy as the brown suggested). Rice was warm and great. Other veg options looked fine, room temp. Salmon was room temp and sticky, not sure if that's a good thing. Wouldn't you want it kept cooler since it's a raw item? Chose to eat in. Restaurant very clean. Gave a great tip since guy on staff was very helpful, patient, and friendly. UPDATE Quickly after this both myself and my friend I ate there with became violently ill with vomiting, stomach cramps, and headache. I wonder if I got food poisoning due to temp of fish being off? Won't risk again. Be advised and ask questions before consuming food here. Taking the previous 2 star rating...
