Papa Gio's Pizzeria at Cherokee Lakes Plaza — Restaurant in South Carolina

Place was empty, several broken benches. table wasn't level of it shifted every time I put fork in food. Asked if could get meatballs on baked spaghetti...yes. How many how much? I don't know....can you check ...came back...it's 5.50 more. Ok how many and what size? I can check..( has she not seen their meatballs?). Comes back ..2. ok. I'll have that and ranch for the salad- salad comes and some brown dressing... Is that ranch....oh..no...did you want ranch... Ding ding ding....yes. Food came and she asked anything else? Umm...can I get the bread that comes with it? Oh yeah... Spaghetti sauce was way too salty to eat, meatballs tasted like frozen from sams club..blan no seasoning. I ate meat balls and some spaghetti without the sauce as much as possible. Bowl pretty much as full as when she brought it....asked do you want a box....no, I can't eat that...never said or asked what was wrong....just said...ok! You ready for the check? I could tell it was going no where ....yes. I handed her cash and she assumed that it was all for her and never said.,.do you need change? Hands down this is the worst restaurant in Lexington. The waitress had an attitude from the minute we arrived and tried to get us to sit in the lobby area where the staff were cooking and not in the dinner room. Her explanation was that they just cleaned the area. Then when she finally got a place in the dining room picked out for us, she expected us to bring the menus and silverware she had thrown down in a pile at the table that we were temporarily waiting at. We were the only table there for a while and it surprised us at first being it was a weekend night. The waitress acted like they were closing soon when in reality they were closing in several hours. She took our orders and then never seemed to know or remember who got what..in fact she had to ask us for our orders all over again. We had to ask for things multiple times before she would remember to get them for us. The waitress was rude, and didn’t seem to care about actually doing her job. The food was pricey and was not worth it. We will never go back and certainly will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was nice however I did not enjoy the food. I ordered the lunch size cheese tortellini with tomato sauce with bread. The bread piece was supposed to be a dinner roll which I thought was odd in an Italian restaurant. However I received no bread with my order and didn't even ask for it once my plate came and I seen the dish. There a puke orange colored sauce over what appeared to be like a shelf style tortellini. It looked like can dog food. I did not find the smell appealing either. I did not want to seem difficult so I offered some to my cousin as my plate arrived, I gave her over half. I am glad I didn't take my kids because that would have been a lot of money wasted. The fountain drink did have a fresh taste, which was the highlight of what was edible. I found the atmosphere to be very dark and gloomy. There are dark shade style curtains and it makes the place sad looking. Not too mention the shades were not clean.
