Now I should’ve known better before I came here, but I am getting my tires serviced at Costco so I decided to walk on over here for a Chili Relleno and a margarita.. I asked for one thing I got something completely opposite. They decided they wanted to debate with me about what a chili Relleno is if you call yourself a Mexican restaurant and you’re offering something called a chili Relleno or chili plabano then you give them a chili relleno. Not switching up custom Mexican names and terms and make up your own names for things when people from all over the country visit your restaurant and want to get exactly what they want. Chili Relleno should be the exact same thing since it’s a stuffed chili with cheese. Below you will find what a proper chili relleno should look like across-the-board by anyone calling themselves a Mexican restaurant. The offer a Chili Plabano as well and you can see in the pictures from Google they’re the exact same things so this restaurant is absolutely wrong for offering something called a chili Relleno that was literally just bean dip with no chilies. so I got a plate of beans and rice and beans horrible experience! To add to the horrible experience the cashier was a complete idiot. She had no idea about Mexican culture and exactly what the real meaning of terminologies are at all. It’s completely sad this restaurant is offering South Carolina this mess and calling it Mexican food. In no part of Mexico is this acceptable and they need to step their game up. End Rant

Great place for VERY AMERICANIZED MEXICAN. Heavy on the salt and gooey cheese, light on flavors, heat, and creativity. Just the way Americans like it. So if you are a silly American who eats like a toddler and particularly enjoys mariachi music playing in the background so you can feel so cultured, here's your place! Specifically, my chile relleno was not a filled poblano pepper, breaded, topped with a tomato based sauce... it was made with a bell pepper, spoonful of ground meat, topped with tons of gooey cheese. Zero heat. Zero spice. This was a pretty good example of the rest of the fare at our table. Service was good. Place was clean and had lots of atmosphere. Tons of potential here but they need to bring in some authentic flavors, a few unique signature dishes, and for love, change the music. Such a missed opportunity.

Ordered takeout and got i don't know what but it isn't arroz con pollo. I did ask for beans instead of rice, since I don't care for rice in particular but the chicken was shredded and cooked in a tomato based sauce and it had no queso on it. I could only eat the beans since the chicken was watery and chewy. So disgusting. I know complaining to the restaurant won't matter since all the reviews on here and Yelp say they take no responsibility and honestly dgaf, but either way, wanted to give my honest review. The other San Joses in town are amazing. I just ordered here since it was right off the highway on the way home from working out of town.

I was enjoying dinner here with my boyfriend last night, and our dinner was fantastic. Our server was kind & our food came out quickly. The problem I had was towards the end of our visit, we accepted an Uber Eats order & as we paid at our table we told our waiter we were also picking an order up on the way out. He communicated that to the person who handles the Delivery orders who at the time was a very short, petite young girl who brought the food over to our table but she seemed to be displeased about it for whatever reason. She asked me to confirm the order & so I did but she still wouldn’t hand us the bag so I said to my boyfriend “babe get the bag”. She said again that she needs to see my phone even though she saw me swipe confirm….so I showed her my phone once again & she gave us the food with a snarky attitude. I noticed after dropping off my order that I had one negative review from a Merchant (I have no negative reviews whatsoever, from customers OR merchants) and I immediately knew it came from that girl but we did nothing wrong…the note said “ignored pick up instructions”. I made my way back to San Jose to ask them, specifically her, what pick up instructions were ignored & what possessed them to give me a negative rating which messed up my 100% rating….the manager apologized & said that we did nothing wrong & that their store didn’t give out any negative reviews….he then pulled up the order that I picked up on their Tablet & low & behold there was the negative review that I was given. The girl was standing there the entire time that I’m explaining to the manager what happened pacing back & fourth & shaking her head, so I asked her what instructions weren’t followed….you asked me to confirm the order & I did so…she claimed she didn’t do it but her attitude alone made her tell on herself. She was the one who gave us the order & rudely at that. I could ask the manager to run the cameras back but I didn’t find that necessary, I just wanted the review removed. The manager was having difficulty with his system at the time but said he would contact Uber to have this removed. I’ll be back today since it was closing time when I went back last night, but that was truly...

My sister and I went to the Piney Grove Rd location, and our server gave us the worst experience I’ve probably ever had with a server; I didn’t get her name though. I deal with short term memory loss as context. I just wanted to order one soft beef taco and that’s what I told her and she confused me by asking three times if I wanted steak or ground beef even though I kept saying beef. Apparently I also asked for a quesadilla (which could be true, I just can’t remember), but I don’t know why cause I never eat quesadillas.. so she brought me both and I told her I didn’t mean to (and don’t remember) ask for a quesadilla, and politely asked her to take it away because I wasn’t going to touch it, let alone eat it. Her rude response was that I ordered it and when I started to explain I couldn’t remember doing that, she walked away while I was in mid sentence ! So I politely asked another server or manager (I don’t know what he was) if he would take it away because she didn’t. He was amazing and understood and told her to take it away. She quickly came up and snatched the plate away while glaring at me.. from that point on she just got more rude, on all the levels, from her facial expressions to her tone and everything. She even brought another server over, both staring at us while speaking Spanish and laughing, so that was uncomfortable.. She dropped the check on the table and stood there waiting for the payment and then snatched it out of my sisters hand. Side note, my sister totally ordered a drink when we walked in and the woman never brought it during our whole meal.. needless to say, we will not be going back to...
