I am not an expert on sushi rolls , but the TPC roll ($12.50 for lobster salad, mango, avocado, and two small pieces of shrimp tempura in mango sauce that was not enough for what I preferred to cover the one roll) was not a good value. On the phone there was a young girl who finally answered the phone 5 min. after they opened at 11am, and spoke with such an accent that it was hard for me to understand her. When I got there she informed me that on Friday, and I think Saturday, there is a "buy one, get the second half off" offer on the Chef Specialty Rolls. I am glad I didn't spend any more money than I did (about $13.80 with tax), and I did not feel it was a good value. IMO, there was more rice than unripened mango, lobster salad, and avocado in the cut up one roll. I have to admit that I'm a regular customer at the Chinese restaurant next door called Lucky Panda. For $11.50 I usually get the Chef Specialty #10 (Shrimp & Scallops in Garlic sauce) which has perfectly grilled sea scallops, medium grilled shrimp with the tails cut off, juicy mushrooms, and veggies. I order a pint of lo mein for $1.00 dollar more to replace the rice, and get enough lo mein to last 3 small meals, as the portion on the dish is huge, and with quality...

Let me start by saying that the food and saki are amazing... If you get them. I've had lunch there many times.

We arrived, and were seated at 6:25 on a Wednesday evening. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 sushi rolls, and 2 hibachi entrees. At 7:30 we had received our soup and salad, and my wife had received her appetizer, and her sushi. I received nothing. When I asked about having the remainder of our meal boxed to go, I was told that it hadn't been started yet and would be another hour or more. At that point I had them cancel the remainder of our order, and (being an ethical person) paid for the little we had received so that we could leave.

I'm a chef, so I know you get in the weeds, but to send one person's app and sushi with nothing for the other, and that deep a delay with no warning to the client, is inexcusable.

I'm typing this as I eat togo from La Hacienda Mexican on 707 in Socastee. Fast, good, and cheap. Shiki lost what would have easily been a $150 check and a loyal...

Horrible customer service! The waitress queenie doesn't want know how to be pleasant. She does not belong in the service industry. She rushes you to order, does not say thank you, takes forever to deliver food or check back and is rude. I wanted to use a coupon that has no restrictions and she would not allow me to do so. Gave me a hard time about it then when I showed her there were no restrictions listed, she said she has to call the owners. This has happened three times to us now. We come here all the time and enjoy the server Betty very much and the food is great. I am extremely disappointed with how I have been treated! I refuse to eat here again. Why put coupons in the attraction book when you never allow us to use them? The attraction book is a paid coupon book and is not free. I am in the hospitality industry and will make sure to let everyone know how I have been treated at this...

First time dining at Shiki Sushi. Stopped in for a late lunch so it wasn't too crowded. Cool vibe; great service staff. Ordered appetizers, sashimi and rolls from a menu that offers a large variety of options. Very good food, spice level mild to meet local palate demands. Good quality and variety of fish; spicy tuna is pureed rather than chopped which is a little strange. Giving 4 stars not 5 because a good cleaning and sushi bar remodel would take this from a very good restaurant to a great one. Other reviewers recommend take out only because of the sticky tables and smudgy glass; taking pride in the atmosphere and using a little windex would solve the less than 5 star reviews and allow for a great dining experience.

Stopped for a quick lunch and was glad to see that they have lunch specials in addition to a large and varied menu. The service was very much on point and tge food delicious. We shared a steak hibachi bento bowl which came also with soup or salad. We both ended up getting salad and the ginger dressing is thick and awesome. We shared a lunch special if 3 sushi rolls and salad which was dbout $13. Good value. We tried a spicy tuna, shrimp tempura and Philadelphi roll. All in all we left there stuffed and had a pleasant lunch. The atmosphere is sort of dark and nice. Our service was really excellent she was very attentive and accommodating. Will definately be back.

Ordered the wachamaw roll (really good), and the shiki roll (not impressed). The outside of the shiki roll was good but the spicy tuna and spicy salmon inside had a weird texture and didn't really look like any spicy tuna/salmon mix I've seen in a sushi roll before. The wachamaw roll and seaweed salad were good enough that I'll definitely try this place again but probably not a roll that has "spicy tuna" or "spicy salmon" in it.
