The Bagel Factory — Restaurant in South Carolina

I ordered 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese. I waited 20 minutes for these bagels while a few other people came in after me and received their orders before my 2 bagels. After 20 minutes I finally asked the cashier, who had been standing around doing practically nothing, if my bagels would be ready soon because I had somewhere to be and was now going to be late. I asked her how the other people were getting their orders before me and she said they had called ahead. The cashier went into the back to check and my bagels were in fact already ready. My bagel tasted like it had been cut after an onion so my raisin bagel with raisin walnut cream cheese was gross. My daughter then said her plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese tasted like peanut butter. Luckily she is not allergic to peanut butter because there was indeed peanut butter mixed in with her cream cheese from the knife. She then pulled a dried up leaf out of her mouth that was also mixed in with the cream cheese. She got really upset and asked if she was going to get sick because there was a leaf/trash in her food and we threw the bagel away.. I took a picture of the leaf and searched online for it- it came back as being from a willow tree. This morning at approximately 930 I went to the Bagel Factory for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I placed my order. Egg ham and cheese on Rye, and coffee. Order has to be placed at counter. It is serve yourself coffee after they give you cup. I got my coffee waited, and waited and waited for my order. A gentleman that placed his order just prior to mine informed me I should ask about my order. The person at the counter must have heard him, she then asked what I ordered and my name again. I informed her. Approximately 5 minutes after that I received my order well the order was wrong. She gave me a Bacon egg and cheese on rye. I then informed the person at the counter to please just give me my money back, which she did. She did offer me a bagel, said she was sorry they were short staffed. The coffee was good. I waited at least 45 minutes for an order that was not correct. During that time waiting I noticed several other people had issues...

Great bagels, but be careful how you order from their menu! "Breakfast Sandwiches" is not a category. I ordered from their menu category "Eggs". "1 egg with bacon" and it said all eggs come with choice of roll, bagel, etc., so I asked for a garlic bagel with jalapeno cream cheese to come with my egg and bacon. Yikes! They made it all into a sandwich! Great customer service understood my reluctant approach to the counter to explain the diiference between what I ordered from the menu and what I received.
