Subway is racist! I have lived on Wadmalaw for 40plus years. I remember the day that subway came to John's Island. My family and I have spent several dollars at the Subway. BUT, as of tonight I will never go back! My family I walked in and two young men that were working 07/01/2017 said we are closed, keep in mind we walked in 20 minutes before closing. There were four other people in front of us that they were serving. One of the workers behind the counter actually made a comment and said this food is been sitting here all day why would you want to eat something from here that late. This allowed the other people that were being served to laugh thinking it was funny. I looked over at him and gave him a look thinking I can't believe he would even say something like that knowing that he is representing your company. So I took my family over to Domino's. Where we waited for a delicious hot pizza. After leaving Domino's they were still serving people inside the Subway. Meaning that they had actually let other people come in and be served. I was a little upset at the fact these young men acted the way they did. The actions that these two men took with in the Subway, was like they did not want to serve white people. The reason I say that is because after 30 minutes of waiting on my pizza I watch them serve three other people. Around 1038 they started cleaning the store and had a friend drop by that hung out with them while they played with in the store. After my family and I are walking out of Dominos the two young men who work with in the Subway, gave one of my children the finger🖕. Doing the adult thing I did not approach the young man. Because I believe words and actions can be handled in a different way. And with all of this being said I hope each and everyone of you reading this review understands what type of restaurant we have here on Johns Island. I would honestly say that we never once provoke them to give us the finger or treat us the way they did coming into this...
Read moreThis subway sucks.everytime i go in here i order my sandwich i don't really get too many veggies on it but i always ask for tons of olives but yet they will only put a tiny bit and when i ask them to put more they always fake like they are grabbing a lot more and just put two olives on trying to rouse me.it seems like they are attempting a really bad slide of hand magic trick.it almost feels as if they are purposely trying to fool me.which is very insulting.i always have to repeat myself 4 or five times before they finally get the right amount and 9 times out of 10 i will get a rude attitude to go with it from the employees.i as a customer should not have to repeat myself this many times.it is embarassing to have to hold up the line because they will not listen and give me what i ask for.i want my sandwich the way i want it the olives are not very expensive and i am not getting very many other veggies.so i wonder why in the world this is the ONLY subway so stengy with the olives? if someone says they want tons of them don't make a customer have to repeat themselves 5 times just give them what they ask for.most importantly save the bad attitudes if you really hate your job so much then quit nobody is begging you to stick around.it is not my fault you are not listening to may simple request.subway sandwiches are already skimppy enough anyway considering they barely put any meat on them so why act so lame about giving...
Read moreI just went to the Subway on Main Road with my three kids..and let me tell you what I saw....
We were greeted with eye contact and a Hello. It was clean. Items were displayed neatly. There was an older (not old) and seemingly gentle woman in there that I assume was the manager. She had about 4-5 high school or slightly older staff that she seemed to be training as they were making our sandwiches. She was kind to them and spoke in a way as to not embarrass them but provided correction where needed. She was patient and smiled at my family as they were making our sandwiches as if to thank us for our patience as well. All of our food was made as it was requested. We dined in the restaurant and her staff was busy working the entire time with some task or another and she was right alongside them providing guidance where needed.
I'd just like to say KUDOS to this lady and the way she is teaching her staff not only how to work in that establishment, but also good life lessons as well that will carry them far. Eye contact and smiles go a LONG way. We will...
