Thunderbird Country Buffet — Restaurant in South Carolina

Ugh! The word was this place was good. Me and a friend decided to dine here on Monday. It was not. The only thing that had taste was the pork chop and the sweet tea was good. The baked Mac and cheese tasted like they put either a lot of vinegar or a lot of mustard in it. I didn’t even bother taking a pic because it was so bad. I guess if u like bland food, this place is for you. As for me, me and my friend WILL NOT be back. To me this is a place either for someone older or has high blood pressure, cholesterol issues, etc. Even with those issues, people desire food that, AT LEAST, taste good. I’m all set!

First and foremost, telling staff the food was nasty wasn’t going change what was on Monday. The food was already prepared and on the buffet and I’m 100% sure you were not going to throw it away because me and my friend said it was nasty. I am not the first nor will be the last to complain about the quality of what is served if it’s not changed. It is what it is! I came, I ate, and I didn’t like it. The waitress was great, but she doesn’t control what comes out the kitchen nor how it’s prepared. I will not be calling! I’ve already said what was necessary and you can use that to critique your cooks, their recipes, and food prep how you see fit. The reviews are here for the sole purpose to give my OPINION so you can read and change things if you so choose. A crowd doesn’t equal good food. A lot of people just don’t want to cook. If you are the Restuarant owner, then your response should reflect as such and should be VERY PROFESSIONALLY written. Went here with my family a couple sundays ago. Honest opinion....the food was not good at all. It just did not taste the same as the old Thunderbird I've grown to know. String beans had no flavor, stew beef barely had gravy, the mac n cheese did not taste the same. I just recently read SEVERAL reviews from other customers disliking the food and then the owner's rebuttal saying they don't get complaints about their food and WHY we didn't do this and WHY we didnt say that and WHY didnt we tell the waitress, etc etc. Word of advice, instead of pointing the finger or putting blame on customers and making excuses, just accept constructive criticism and use our comments as a tool to strive to do better. When there's multiple people saying the same thing on different days it means that there has to be a problem somewhere and the problem is not with your customers. These reviews are to help you not harm you. But the more you don't do anything about it the more bad reviews you will get and the lower your aversge review score will become. Hope this...

If I could give ZERO, that would be my choice. This has to be the filthiest restaurant I have been to. How is this place still opened? (If anyone from the Health Inspectors Office is reading this review, please schedule an inspection ASAP). The food is watered down, comes straight from can to serving line, food temperatures (There were none), cleanliness EXTREMELY questionable (plates dirty) although gloves are used customers are still reaching over food (recommendation make dual sided bar).
