I had the misfortune of stopping by this Wendy’s on the road to the beach this afternoon. We ended up arriving at our destination an hour late because of this detour which should’ve taken ten minutes max.
First, we parked and went in to the restrooms. There was a line out the door of the women’s room because one stall was out of paper. I told an employee, but no one did anything about refilling the paper, so I opened the (unlocked) door marked Employees Only and pulled out a roll from the supply closet so the restroom could return to full functionality.
I had placed an online order so I entered the drive-thru next. When I tell you this was the slowest drive-thru line I’ve ever been in… I actually painted my nails and let two coats dry while this line was not moving.
Finally, I get to the window. We get our tray of drinks and frostys, but no straws or spoons. Eventually they hand me the bags of food, which are missing an order of nuggets and also doesn’t have straws, and only one spoon (for an order containing four frostys and a chili). I sit at the window and wait to tell someone what I’m missing, and I’m ignored by several employees who make eye contact and then walk away. When I call out to someone, she assures me the nuggets are in “the other bag.” I tell her I’ve checked both bags. She asks for a bag so she can check it, then continues to argue that it must be in the other bag. The nuggets aren’t there. She says, “Are they really not there?” And I assure her I would not try to cheat her out of four chicken nuggets. It takes an unnecessarily long time to find these four missing nuggets, and I still don’t have spoons or straws. The lady tries to tell me these are also “in the other bag.”
I know working in food service isn’t an easy job, so when someone gets my order wrong I will never be angry or rude about it; it’s a simple mistake and I just need to get the food I paid for. However, I began to lose my patience with this team today. At least I waited until I drove away to scream.
My family asked me to mark this location with a review as a reminder never to come here again, even if it’s a convenient...
Read moreStore 9148 As I waa on a business trip I stopped in a Wendy's here in Orangburg SC I was in the mood for a burger and fries upon arivl staff was friendly I ordered a number 1 with no lettuce and no tomato small drink and a small frosty and then I was informed it would be 30min for fries but they did offer me a substitute of chili or baked potato I politely decline and just took the burger drink and Frosty not wanting to bring my food back to my hotel I wanted to sit in the dining area and enjoy my food after stopping to pick up a straw in a spoon and some napkins I noticed there was no napkins and no ketchup I received napkins from one of the young ladies behind the counter and proceeded to find a table to enjoy my dinner when looking at the dining room it looked like a hurricane just went through there at least 90% of the tables were dirty or had trash on them after finding a table that was clean enough to eat off of I thought to myself maybe they just were busy and haven't had a chance to clean up yet but by the time I sat down there was no line the cashier was leaning up against the wall and another just chatting away with the cashier so then I thought maybe they've just had a rough day so I looked up Google ratings for this particular restaurant and it didn't even rate a three out of five Stars and after reviewing a couple of the comments previous customers have left I seen a pattern people who work here just don't care I sat there and finish my burger drink and Frosty and then saw two employees enter the front door with cases of frozen french fries at this time the restaurant and seem to be getting busy so I decided to leave
upon leaving I stopped by the restroom just to see how clean it would be it seemed to be some what up kept but the trash was overflowing upon exiting the restroom one employee was sitting at a table next to a table that had trash crumbs napkins and even an old French fry sitting right on the top and it didn't seem to phase her whatsoever at this moment I just shook my head in disgust and left this restaurant something seriously needs to be done about this restaurant...
Read moreWow. I just finished eating here and feel like I’m going to hurl. On a long trip, we stopped here for lunch and went into the dining room. The line was 15+ people long and it took us 30 minutes of waiting just to get to the front. No one had any sense of urgency for this lunch rush. Once at the front, we stood and waited longer for someone to come take our order. The cashier had her long hair down all over the place and was going back and forth between washing trays, taking orders, serving fries, gathering orders…and I never saw her wash her hands once. I didn’t see anyone else wearing gloves, hair nets or practicing any cleaning duties. If we weren’t so hungry we would have left but now we wished we had. Our order was rung up wrong and then I was argued with about what I ordered. When we received our food, they forgot to give us drink cups which we saw happen with several people waiting ahead of us. Several people came back to have their orders corrected including a guy who was shorted on his nuggets. Eager to finally eat, our disappointment just continued. Buns were stale and crumbly, nuggets were cold and hard, fries were lukewarm, lettuce was slimy and bacon was missing off the burger. I wish I could say something was good but the bathrooms had vomit and one stall didn’t have a lock at all. Oh yeah I almost forgot- the chili was alright but since it only has to be heated I can’t imagine them messing this up but I suppose anything is possible when you’re such a train...
