I dont believe i have ever been so disappointed in my life. I ordered the fried shrimp dinner, the turkey dinner, the pot roast dinner and a side of onion rings. They told me I could pick it up in 20 minutes. I was there in 25. they brought out my food and he acted a little annoyed that he had to go in to get change. my daughter and i went through the bag to make sure it was all there. I have ordered take out from Bob evans many times and I have never seen anything like this. The dinners are usually in a 3 compartment dinner container with a lid and your rolls are in a foam container. Well the dinner containers we pulled out of this bag where smaller square containers with lids, which would have been fine if the food in the containers hadn't only filled up a 3rd of the container and hadn't looked like the food was for a DOG! Our sides where in paper cups all except one of my sides,, it was in the container with my pot roast and it looked like half a serving. My daughter and husband were both offering me some of their mash potatoes because it was so obvious they had double the amount that I did. The turkey and stuffing looked like it was put in the container and shook up before getting dropped from a 3rd story window! My pot roast was ice cold. Not luke warm, not room temperature, it was cold. As if they had just taken it out of the refrigerator and gave it to me. The cranberry sauce for my husband's turkey dinner was in a tiny little cup that could not have held more then a tablespoon of food, and he had 4 of them with cranberry sauce in them.! I don't understand a few things. I dont understand why my mashed potatoes were in with my pot roast pieces but everyone else's were not when there was room in there for atleast the mashed potatoes. I dont understand why I only got half an order of mashed potatoes. I dont understand why my food was so cold and why the turkey looked like little pieces of turkey mixed in with a bigger amount of stuffing then turkey. I dont understand why they gave us hard rolls that had set out. I could go on but won't. I loved Bob evans and so did my husband, but this experience may have done us in. If Bob evans doesnt start caring about what they serve people they won't be open more then...
Read moreWe my girl friend and I went into Bob Evans in the evening the floor underneath our table was dirty the tables were not bused the waitreess took her time getting to us [but friendly] My Girls friends fish she ordered was as flat as a pancake her baked potato was cold it took a long time for the food to come to us. The waitress apologized and brought her another one which was hot. and they forgot her sides because she didnt write it down. I had the Pot roast sandwich platter which was good no complaints except my tea stayed empty then she finally ask me if I wanted another one.The Decor was nice but dishes everywhere on the tables. Service was very poor but the waitress was nice.I am glad we a a buy one get one free coupon the bill was 26.00 dollars originally the cashier said it didnt apply to this meal we said yes it does the manager was called and he rang it right up? So in closing our experience well was less than desirable we were not ask how was your meal or everything LOL I think they already knew. I have been in there in the mornings no problems it seems like to me the evening shift is always worse than the day shift I had a similar experience in Parkersburg too. I am not a complainer we never said anything to the waitress or establishment but I thought this...
Read moreWhen I come home, I always go to Bob Evans as we don't have them where I live. This experience was the worst I have ever had at any of their restaurants. I sat in the lobby and ordered online for a to go order. I expected a 15 min wait ot so because they were busy. The greeter knew I was there, but she was playing several roles as they were understaffed. I waiting 40 mins for my food and finally asked what was taking so long. The manager and a blond woman had been snacking in the area and looked to the left and said, "Here's your order." When I asked how long it had been there, he just acted like it was no big deal that no one had asked if I was in the lobby. The woman said "I don't know, and basically not my fault."
When I looked in the bag, I was missing the side of sausage patties, and he said we put it with the eggs. Who does that? It was a separate order. Eggs and gravy were going to be cold. I was so frustrated with the lack of service or interest I just left and microwaved stuff when I got home.
Beware of this South Charleston location. They are overwhelmed and do no go the extra step that other Bob Evans do. Something should've been done vs. just saying, "I didn't see it or not my fault." You represent an organization that expects more of you. Act...
