If you're in Orlando or Jacksonville, trust us when we say that making the drive to Daytona Beach just to eat at Masala Indian Cuisine is absolutely worth it. The food is so extraordinary that if this restaurant were in Chicago, it would undoubtedly be competing with some of the top Indian eateries there.
Ambiance and Hospitality
From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the ambiance of Masala Indian Cuisine. The decor is a perfect blend of traditional Indian elements with modern touches, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The fact that the restaurant is family-run and owned adds an extra layer of charm and warmth to the experience. The staff were welcoming and attentive, providing excellent service that made us feel right at home. You can truly feel the personal touch and pride the family takes in their establishment.
Exceptional Food
The highlight of our visit was, of course, the food. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani, and Butter Chicken, and each dish surpassed our expectations in every way.
Chicken Biryani: The Chicken Biryani was an explosion of flavors. The rice was perfectly cooked, with each grain separate and infused with aromatic spices. The chicken pieces were tender and succulent, marinated in a blend of spices that gave the dish a depth of flavor that is hard to describe. Every bite was a delight, with the subtle heat of the spices balanced beautifully by the fragrant rice.
Lamb Biryani: The Lamb Biryani was equally impressive. The lamb was cooked to perfection, so tender it practically melted in our mouths. The rich, savory spices complemented the meat wonderfully, making every bite a savory experience. The rice, like in the Chicken Biryani, was flawlessly cooked, and the flavors were harmoniously blended, making this dish a standout.
Butter Chicken: The Butter Chicken at Masala Indian Cuisine was simply phenomenal. The sauce was rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of sweetness and spice. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the flavors of the sauce were so well-rounded that it was impossible not to savor every spoonful. Paired with fresh, fluffy naan bread, this dish was an absolute winner.
Worth the Drive
What sets Masala Indian Cuisine apart from other Indian restaurants in Orlando and Jacksonville is the sheer quality and authenticity of the food. We were genuinely baffled by how good everything was, and it left us wishing that our home cities had Indian food this exceptional. The drive from either city to Daytona Beach is a small price to pay for such a memorable culinary experience.

An important aspect that adds to the appeal of Masala Indian Cuisine is that it is confirmed halal.

I love the food at this restaurant! Have been dining with them for years. I will say the atmosphere is quite dated and the location in the strip mall on Beville is very tired BUT the food makes up for these minor concerns. Also, early on I wasn’t overly impressed with the demeanor of the wait staff but over the years things have warmed up in this regard.
I used to exclusively order the Lamb Biryani. I love this dish so much that I have also had it delivered to me at work. The flavor is amazing and the portion is huge. You can order it, as many of the meals, a la carte or with all the fixings for just a few dollars more. Once in a while the lamb seems a little tough but I still love the dish. Every now and then I order it with the shrimp just for a change.
Lately I have tried another dish. Awesome! The Palak Paneer. Have had it twice and will have many more times it is so good.
Also, recently started ordering the lamb Samosa. Two in an order. Really like these and they do have them with other fillings.
My husband enjoys the chicken curry. It isn’t very spicy so he will add the hot pickle condiment.
The Naan is so fresh and yummy. The hot pickle condiment is fantastic. I usually will buy large containers to keep at home.
They used to have a buffet but stopped it a few years ago and now they have it again. I will be giving it a try as...
