NE Roots Kava - @ne_roots_fl — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

NE Roots is.....different. I've been to many a kava bar over the years down here in the blazing hot of Florida, and have now found myself here in sunny Daytona Beach ⛱️. I can say that the community here as a whole is absolutely amazing. I found NE Roots through a friend that put a bug in the owner's ear to possibly help with his start up kava bar. Pete and his partner Melissa are wonderful people who just want to love on the community with affordable drinks, and to keep a fun, safe drama free zone for all ages to enjoy alternative products made to help people and not get them messed up....which is what got me to fall in love with kava and tea and kava bars in the first place. NE Roots opened its doors to the public on September 15th, so they are super new, but just in the short 2.5 weeks that they've been open, I've watched it go from 3 customers a day to a packed Saturday and Sunday night house. Every kava bar has its own vibe, but I've never seen one like this.....you can feel the love as soon as you walk in. The drinks are absolutely delicious, and most importantly, affordable. I love how they have options for food such as macaroni and cheese bows, ramen (dude, who doesn't like ramen?!), geilled cheese and FREE popcorn 🍿 alllll day!!!! The employees there are kind, compassionate, and really care and want to get to know the customers who walk in. All very knowledgeable and super friendly. Dog friendly too! They are even putting together a kava crawl that involves every kava bar in the surrounding areas to help bring the community together to show that they are not competition, but just another olive branch to the world of Kava and it's following kava bar neighbors. It's small, but feels like home as soon as you walk in. I give NE Roots a 10 out of 10. Go check em out!!!!!! ...

This kava bar is such an amazing spot! It’s filled with individuals who want to drink kava and be in the presence of others who also want to build a strong community focused in friendship, fun and long lasting connections that might not otherwise have occurred. The vibe is incredibly community-oriented and welcoming—you instantly feel at home the moment you walk in. There’s a huge variety of drinks to choose from, so there’s always something new to try, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier or more inviting.

I love that they go above and beyond to create fun experiences, like raffles for an e-bike, live music nights, and games that bring everyone together. Even the chairs are so comfortable, making it easy to relax and stay awhile. The owners are truly invested in making sure everyone has a great time, and they even go out of their way to introduce new patrons to familiar faces, which really builds that sense of community.

Overall, it’s just a great experience every time—highly recommend...

Pete, the owner, has become one of my close friends. I host karaoke nights, and I’ve been a fan of the owner and the environment since I first walked in. If you’re seeking a relaxed and drama-free vibe, this kava bar is the place to be. It has a very homey feel, and the products are great. The kava is actually quite strong and helps me a lot.
