I came here for lunch, not Mortal Kombat: Insect Edition.
Upon being seated and our drink order being taken an unexpected showdown began with a fly who clearly trained in black ops. This fly wasn’t just annoying—it was sentient, strategic, and probably on payroll.
I swatted. It dodged. I clapped. It laughed. I swing. It tried to steal my purse.
At one point, we locked eyes. I whispered, “You win,” and it winked. This wasn’t just a fly. This was a final boss.
This thing would not leave me alone. Buzzing around my face like I owed it money. I finally had to kill it with my menu—yes, the same one I had just used to decide what to eat. And then, like the responsible adult I apparently had to become, I wiped the fly guts off with a napkin because no staff was anywhere to be found.
Unless you’re into uninvited protein and aerial combat with rogue insects, I’d suggest dining elsewhere.
So to recap: I served myself, defended myself, and cleaned up after myself. The fly and I had more interaction than the waitress. Who was very nice, but apparently took her lunch break (seen seated at the bar) and never came back to our table.
Oh, the food? Meh. Moldy grapes in the fruit bowl, missing bacon on flavorless breakfast burger, and the club sandwich was not part of the turkey or ham club because there was barely any on it. Also, check your silverware for cleanliness and dog/monkey hair? Who knows.
The tables are not wide, and the walls are sticky. Staff was nice enough tho. Shame cause we love these off beat restaurants.
Never again.

Funny you would assume anyone used AI to leave a review. It took me half a sense of humor and 8 of the 13 minutes of the drive back to the hotel to accurately describe my experience. You should probably use AI to cook, clean and staff your establishment. Guaranteed to be an improvement. Need AI to run the POS system seeing as how your manager couldnt figure it out. The tables were all the same size width wise, and while that may have been an attempt at a dig it was mediocre, just like your food. Let's not pretend like that door was on a constant swivel. 🙄 I may be a tourist, but I know damn well aint no regulars in your establishment. Well.. maybe the flies.
The sweet tea was on point....
Read moreHorrible horrible horrible service. We got there day 1 and waited over a half hour to even being asked what we wanted. Then it took over another 45 minutes to get served. They got one order wrong and another order never came..had to re ask. Servers were kind but service was so horrible. We sat idle while the entire restaurant was served and left. We decided to give them a second chance the next day since it was close to our lodging. We got there minutes before they opened so we could be quick to be served. They let us in.. we were first there... and took our orders but never came back to the table. After watching table after table served and leave we asked about our orders and they were extremely rude. They finally said there was one order ahead of us and they were bringing out all ours at once. Never happened. 2 people got food after 45 minutes and no one else ever got any food. When we asked about it, they told us to leave since we complained. We said we experienced trouble the day before and still gave them a nice tip and now today they very angrily threw the check on the table for the 2 meals that finally came and told us to get th "f" out and that we were"stupid to have come back" we left without food, amazed and appalled at the rudeness and hostility. No one in our party was unkind or rude... simple asked about our food after unreasonable waiting and watching everyone after us being served and leaving. I have never seen such terrible treatment! Even one server apologized as we left. Another server told us "our kitchen...
Read moreExcellent food great vibe felt like they could have their own TV show. The vibe was something else. Everybody was so happy. I’ve never seen restaurant workers and employees seem so happy my wife and I thought it was really cool. We didn’t have our kids with us, but we would definitely bring our kids here. The ambience and the home of the restaurant was loud enough that I wouldn’t feel bad if my six-year-old acted up and my other kids would love the food. The onion rings were great my wife loved her French toast and eggs and sausage. The restaurant was big enough so there was room to spread out. The tables weren’t too tight, The food was excellent our Midwest palette coming from Ohio or Kentucky or Indiana you will really like it. The waitress said the owners were talking about starting a podcast. I would listen in a heartbeat. Hopefully they post about it on their Facebook. My only request is they add cheese to the club in the future I eat the whole club got to the very last bite and realized there was no cheese on. I went and checked the menu they didn’t include cheese. I didn’t even realize it didn’t have it on it lol but I think in the future that would be a good addition. We will definitely come back every time we...
