Terrible first experience at this new location. It's Chipotle, nothing special, but I specifically waited to go on Sunday during their opening weekend to avoid the calamity of the public. Sunday was just as busy. The line was long as expected with the drive-thru being completely full. Inside was also packed, but the line was steadily moving forward. It was also packed with people with online pick-up orders waiting longer than the people that were in line without online orders. When i finally got to the front of the line, I initially ordered a chicken burrito. I was immediately told by the server that they were completely out of chicken. While looking behind her, there was a grill full of cooked chicken getting ready to be taken off the grill.....point being she lied. I'm sure she meant that they were currently out of chicken and if I wanted to wait patiently with the others, I could eventually get chicken when it was ready. She never said anything like that. Just that the store was completely out of chicken for the day. Like, no hope of even waiting for more chicken to be cooked. Anyways, so I opted for the carne asada. While the burrito was being made, other ingredients were "completely out". The cheese was gone. Needless to say I got a poorly made burrito that honestly wasn't worth the money I paid....knowing I could have gotten a better made burrito at another Chipotle location. One of the servers also pressed really hard on the green marker when labeling my burrito on the aluminum foil wrap they use to bag the burrito to the point that the marker pierced through the foil and ended up on my food. Disgusting! I could have made a scene and had them remake it, but the place being packed with other hungry customers waiting for almost 40mins just to get food orders made didn't sit well with me. Smh. I took the L and unwrapped my burrito in-store and showed everyone how their marker touched the food. I basically cut that part of the burrito out where the marker had made contact with the food and continued the eat the rest. Smh. The layout of the restaurant is like most other Chipotle locations. The fountain drinks dispenser was around the corner. I was disappointed in the fact that none of the lemonade/Agua frescas were available next to the fountain drink dispenser at all. All of the flavors were completely empty as if they were never filled to begin with. Seemed that the agua frescas dispenser was shut off. Overall, this was a poor first experience at this location. Hopefully their staff gets better...but I won't be visiting this location...
Read morePrices are high for what little food you get. Drink prices are high. Cleanliness of store with the amount of staff they had. Seating situation is poorly designed. my husband ordered the smoke brisket bowl and if you call that brisket, that’s a joke because there was basically nothing in there except for these itty-bitty cubes and the person serving it basically gave more or less a half scoop if that. The picture displayed totally does not match what is given in the bowl. Personally, if you’re gonna offer something that looks delicious like that in the picture, it would be nice to get something similar to that in the bowl. We ordered a large bag of chips which says on the bag that they made daily. Personally, I also feel those Are not made because if they are, they must’ve been made at the beginning of the first hour of the day because they were nasty. They were salty like really salty and stale tasting. I have the Barbacoa bowl the meat tasted fine but yet again, the person serving it was the person that served my husband She also did not give a full scoop of meat for that price. You would think that they could give you a scoop of the meat instead of barely half of a scoop. When you order extras on top of your bowls, such as queso and the guacamole it would also be nice to get what you’re paying for instead of a dab. It is safe to say we will not be coming back to eat at your establishment. The only thing that my husband and I enjoyed was our beverages. He ordered sparkling bottle of water and I got a large drink. What I will recommend from your store as the Mandarin Agua Fresca. I was surprised within the key ingredients and it was really good...
Read moreI don't do reviews very often unless they are absolutely amazing or 100% terrible. With that being said if I could give 0 stars, I would. I grew up near Gurnee, traveled to Chicago alot and even rockford. I ate chipotle 1-2 times a week. I have always loved chipotle and was my favorite place to eat! When I found out one was now 20 minutes away from me, I was so excited! Words couldn't even explain. Today my husband and I decided to treat ourselves and take a drive to dixon, where we got 2 burritos, a quesadilla, 3 tacos, some guac and chips. I was so upset when there was literally a pinch of meat on the tacos, the burritos were so packed it fell apart, rice was undercooked, the quesadilla was dry and had barely any cheese plus only had like 2-3 piece of meat per half. Then somehow a slice of green pepper ended up in my sour cream, nothing we ordered had green pepper. Everything was dry and over cooked or undercooked, and cross contaminated. The only thing that was worth anything was the chips, the guac is usually packaged separately so it doesn't get warm, nope they messed that up too, it wasn't even worth it anyways, it pretty much was jist a huge chunk of avocado. When it comes to chipotle, the one in dixon is a absolute disgrace!!!!! And didn't even mention how dirty it was, garbage all over the floor! DO NOT GO THERE! Between the $54 in food that was wasted, the amount of gas in my gas guzzler to get there, then the money we had to spend at McDonald’s because chipotle was so terrible! I'd rather drive to Rockford or Chicago, heck even Gurnee for some real chipotle vs...
