Chinese Panda — Restaurant in South Dixon Township

I usually go to this location because it’s the only Chinese available in Dixon, IL. the food use to be good but the fried rice is always extremely soggy, the lady at the counter taking orders is usually rude. Today I had placed an order and they messed it all the way up! Check your food before you leave!!! I called to tell them that my order was wrong. Instead of making it right, they said sorry can’t take returns the food had already left. I told them I haven’t even touched any of it. Regardless I want what I ordered and the owner said “she must of not understood you” well that’s not my problem if she did or not. I paid $30 to get NO chicken or any type of protein. I got a to go container full or soggy fried rice and lo mein. I did not order that at all! I ordered a general tso dinner combo with lo mein and it was just fried rice and lo mein. No reimbursement. They wanted me to pay another 14$ for the chicken?!? They lost my service. You’re better off just driving the extra miles to go somewhere else. Horrible...

In the area traveling and saw what great reviews this place had so we were excited to try it out. But we were quite disappointed. Got waited on quickly. Tried the lunch special - great price and included your drink. We ate in. Restaurant was tidy but just dated. The food looked good enough - but it just didn’t taste good. The general tso’s was just one big clump of meat and breading. Meat was ehh. Also tried the chicken lo mein. The sauce tasted burnt. The lo mein chicken was rubbery and not good. Tried the hot & sour soup. It was an off consistency. Kind of curdled. Just didn’t taste like much of anything. The crispy noodles were not house made - were store bought type chow mein noodles. The people who work at panda are amazing and very knowledgeable about there food the experience they give is above any where else!! I was also there the day a customer was cussing out the cashier for almost 7 minutes straight without the cashier being able to even say a word I did how ever recive a amazing dish of shrimp fried rice so thank you to the customer on the phone who screamed and tried to bully an amazing employee who stayed calm and very collected while dealing with a irrationally customer on the phone and customers ordering at the same time p.s. very happy the shrimp fried rice doesn't have...
