Fuego!!!!
First, I like to say walking in there I had the most cozy feeling and warm welcoming and just observing the place which is big to me, it was very modern, clean and you can tell with all the branded signs, decals and stickers they have invested a lot in this place which shows me their passionate in thier business. The store has a Grade A which is well deserving. I went there first with my little cousin and he ordered the habanero wings and I ordered the chicken, bacon french fries with lemon garlic sauce and I have to say I was a bit sceptical because we were the only customers and it was in the middle of the day, so we sat down and waited and the food was ready in 20 minutes which felt a bit long because we were hungry! but the wait was worth it! First the bacon was soft and juicy! The chicken was crispy and tender! And the fries were perfect! Man I was in Fuego Heaven! My little cousin 12 years old said the wings were fire! Which means delicious in generation Z slang lol. It was a lot of food so we had to take it to go and I chatted with the owner ( which he is very kind, informative and professional) about how the sauce is different and really good and I never taste sauce like this before where he informed me it was Peruvian which is rare because in El Monte it is primarily Mexican food and Mexican style sauces. It's real nice to have something different other than a common Mexican food spot. I went back today to get the chicken, shrimp and fries... The shrimp Fuego! Chicken Fuego! Fries Fuego!!! I can't wait to try the chauffa rice! The only thing I would say they should have is some Peruvian desserts or sweet bread to top off the the whole course meal! But that takes absolutely nothing away from this 5 star review! I can't wait to take my Peruvian tia there to try her motherlands food so close to home!
I no longer have to drive to L.A to have some taste chicken and fries! This is only 4 minutes...

I am not a Peruvian food expert at all. I don't even know the names of all the dishes or any popular dishes! But I was in the neighborhood and the signage and pictures of the food attracted me to this place.
I ordered the stuff pictured and it was all delicious. The sandwich I ate I forgot what it was even called but it was delicious. The fries tasted like a BBQ party in my mouth and everyone was invited. It really is as tasty as it looks in my pictures and everyone else's.
My favorite part? The customer service. The guy at the register was so kind, he looked happy to be doing his job which is a breath of fresh air in this day and age. He very calmly recommended items, sauces and the stuff pictured were actually based off his recommendations. I am taking a break from spicy food so this particular day everything I ordered was just right and had no spice.
I plan to go back once I start eating spicy food again though because they have so much variety! It's like the combinations are endless. So many tasty possibilities.
Great work and great customer service!!!!! Go!...
Read moreI had high hopes for the lomo saltado fries. Unfortunately, what I received was a far cry from the dynamic dish I was expecting.
The beef, which should have been tender and flavorful, was overcooked and tough. Instead of the customary sear that gives lomo saltado its signature depth, the meat was pale and unappealing, as if it had been boiled rather than stir-fried.
The vegetables, usually a colorful medley of onions, tomatoes, and peppers, were a soggy mess. The onions were limp and nearly raw, while the tomatoes had disintegrated into a watery mush, diluting the dish's overall flavor. The fries, which should have been crispy and golden, were limp and soggy, contributing nothing but a starchy filler to the plate.
The sauce a delightful blend of soy sauce, vinegar, and a hint of heat, was present but the soggy fries and chewy texture of the meat overshadowed the...
