IHOP — Restaurant in South Gate

VERY GOOD PLACE TO HAVE BREAKFAST ALONE, WITH YOUR COUPLE OR WITH YOUR FAMILY .... VARIABLE MENU VERY RICH EVERYTHING, VERY GOOD ATTENTION WITH THE WAITER RODOLFO I THANK YOUR ATTENTION, THE ONLY BAD THING IN THIS RESTAURANT IS THAT THEY GIVE YOU THE ACCOUNT RECEIPT FOR PAY A LONG BEFORE ONE EATS EAT, ALTHOUGH I UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS NOT THE BLAME OF THE WAITER RODOLFO OR THE OTHER WAITERS BUT OF THE MANAGER OF THE RESTAURANT BECAUSE NOT ONLY TO US, THEY DID THE SAME THING WITH US CUSTOMERS. The service was horrible. I asked if they could sing "happy birthday" to my 6yr old and the waitress said "I dont think so bc it's only 2 of us right now." When in reality there were 4 woman and about 3 men serving and taking orders. It wasnt even busy. They gave my daughter a horrible experience on her special day! They also didnt provide us with any kind of syrup. The waitress said she would bring some but never brought it. We had to get it from another table. Then they took our sugar packets and put them in an empty table! And we needed it for our coffee! It would've made sense to give us another tray of sugar packets but nope. So we asked another waitress "can you please bring us sugar? Another employee took it and clearly just left it on the table next to us with no explanation." So she got us some sugar and the employee who took it comes and tells us, "I WAS CLEANING IT FOR YOU." 🤦‍♀️ When we paid and were leaving she was leaving too and gave us a nasty face. Like wth? I dont know what kind of employees they hire here but they need...

I am giving this IHOP a 3 because I'm nice. I ordered my food online and I get there 2 minutes after the pick up time they gave me. When I go inside I ask the cashier for my order and I notice a bag with food behind him. As I noticed that he tells me my food will be out in a couple of minutes. I tell him if that bag behind him is mine. He says no and continues to process other customers. It was very busy so that's why I think I am being nice to the young kid. He seemed a little flustered. After TEN MINUTES he clears up the line and I asked him if he's 100% sure that's not mine. This time he actually checks. And would you believe it, IT WAS MY FOOD. Now it's been sitting there this whole time and it's cold. Some would have asked for their money back or to have their order done again, but I didn't. Guess in some way I felt sorry for him having to deal with that long line all alone, but that doesn't change the fact that he should have checked correctly...
