New China Restaurant — Restaurant in South Hill

This place use to have decent food but over the past year its gotten really bad and I'd never recommend it now.This is 2nd time I've ordered here in past 6 months and food is totally inedible. Either the oil is very very old and rancid and or food is rancid.

Either way ..I'll be contacting the health dept. on Monday with a complaint.. the only reason my family isn't sick from this rancid food is we didn't eat it but I have no doubt that if we had we'd have to have been treated for food poisoning. lf the health dept. is interested in testing it .. especially for bacteria levels .. I did save it for that very reason. No food service company should be putting anyone's health at risk this way. Bad service is one thing .. serving spoiled food is a potential lawsuit and/or loss of business and licensing.

EDIT* I have now filed a complaint with the health dept. See where it goes from there. I will say this .. I got the feeling my complaint would have had more of an effect if I had eaten the food and gotten sick but I draw a line at putting my health at risk .. just like this restaurant...

STEER CLEAR of this place. The guy who answers the phone is downright rude; rushes you off the phone, not to mention it's super difficult to understand him. Asked on the phone if I can get lo mein instead of fried rice with my combos (3), says ok. Get there and my order is well over $50!! When I inquire why he tells me he has increased the prices and lo mein is extra (would have been nice to have been told that on the phone to begin with). I pay for the meal; but WAIT... it gets worse. The bourbon chicken has NO FLAVOR, the orange chicken tastes so "off" - my kids just threw it away. The crab rangoons are burnt, and the eggs rolls taste like eating paper. If you're going to charge people $50+ in a time of inflation, at least make the food taste good. It's sad because this is the only chinese in South Hill, but I will never return again. I'll be making the trip to "No 1" in Littleton the next time I have a craving...

Can you say H O R R I B L E!!! Nothing that I ordered was good! People pay close attention to the "NO REFUNDS" sign posted in the window. Believe me, it's there for a reason!!! Don't GIVE these people your money!! I got Shrimp fried rice, Beef and Broccoli and Shrimp egg rolls. Everything was terrible!! The beef tastes like it's sour. The "Fried Rice" that I had didn't have any vegetables in it, that was a first for me. Something in the egg roll was so hard that it cut my gum. Don't end up like me, eating cereal for dinner while all your money sits in the garbage can. This business gets one star from me only because I can't give...
