Suzi's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in South Lyon

One of the poorest venues in the World Tavern Poker League to play at. No one ever came to the tables to get us anything. You had to leave the game in progress or wait until break to get something. Every other venue has wait staff that wait on us and we tip well at those other venues. Bottled beer was priced competitively but shots of Jack Daniels and Samuel Adams draft were higher than any other bar we play at. $7.00 per shot, $14.00 for a double. Now under a lot of drama from Suzi, the league has been banned without even finishing the season. Bad, bad business. It makes me appreciate the other venues that treat us FAR better! And our favorite waitresses that treat us special. So on those nights when you can’t believe how slow you are, try reflecting on why some people no longer stop in. I moved to South Lyon in 2011, and I soon discovered a great dive-bar called “The Rhino”. It was under management/owned by Suzi’s father and brother. I had no complaints during that time. However, since Suzi has taken over a few years ago, I’ve personally seen a decline in quality as a whole! Fruit flies were frozen in my ice two separate times. You constantly wait for drinks while there’s only a few people in the establishment. She blames everything and anyone besides herself. I went there to sit, have a drink, and decompress from a hard work week but she consistently talks negative about each and every bar/grill in South Lyon. She is not a local to south Lyon so I find it very disrespectful when you compare yourself to the “South Lyon Hotel”. You can’t compare when you can’t compete missy, remember that! I love coming to suzis so much! Such a great addition to south Lyon and we love having her here!! Every time My friends and I walk in We are greeted with such a warm welcome from suzi and the bartenders!! The bar service is great even when they are packed!! There is always great music playing from the dj or the jukebox which is something that’s important too me because I love dancing and the dance floor is awesome. There is a ledge I can put my drink on and have someone sit by while my friend and I dance so I needed have to worry about my drinks. And when I’m not dancing I either just sit at the bar and watch games on the tv, talk to suzi or the bartenders when it isn’t completely crazy or I can play pool which is always fun or there are a couple of other games to play which always keep my friends and I occupied.
