My boyfriend has been a long time fan of Sarussi but I never had the opportunity to give them a try until recently and I'm so happy I did! When we came in there wasn't that many people there so it was easy to grab a table. The menu is filled with many sandwiches but surprised me with other options such as a fritanga bowl and churrasco (their menu leaves room to eat beyond subs). We decided to order the Original $7.99 and the BBQ Pork Sandwich which was on monthly special for $6.00. While we waited an employee pulled out a tray of their freshly baked Cuban bread from the oven that smelled phenomenal so we couldn't help but munch on a croqueta in earnest of our meal. The sandwiches were definitely large and stuffed to the brim with meat. Both were amazing but I have to say that I especially loved the BBQ pork which was far from an American styled pulled pork. The filling consisted of a smokey lechon dressed lightly with BBQ sauce---SO GOOD.

The service was also very friendly as I believe the manager checked in on us multiple times to see if we were enjoying our meal. After telling him how much we loved the BBQ pork sandwich he let us in on a pro-tip. They removed that item from the menu since it wasn't being ordered often but you can still go in and order it with your waiter off-menu since they always have the ingredients for you. He also was exclaiming how good he knows it is!

Will most definitely be back to try other subs on hungry...

Came here because I had an Amazon Local coupon and read that this place was featured on TV and was on the top rankings of best subs in Miami. It turns out I mixed this place up with the 8th Street one because they both have the same name. Regardless, this place turned out to be above my expectations. It's kind of a small place, and the word "cafe" suits the name. There's a row of about three tables in the middle and about five "bench" tables against the far wall. I came here with a friend two months ago on a rainy Saturday afternoon around 2:30PM. Three or four of the bench tables were taken up, so the place was kinda buzzing with business. There are two overhead TVs hanging on the front and back wall with the sports channel on. The waiter spoke perfect English and was knowledgeable and friendly. I asked him what was popular since it was my first time there and he pointed out the Sarussi Original Sandwich, but his personal favorite is the Sarussi Churrasco Sandwich. I went with the Original. The food came out freshly cooked in about 10 to 15 minutes. You know this because the bun is hot! The ingredients tasted fresh and good and the bun was crispy with each bite. I would definitely come back for subs. It also felt clean. They have two restrooms, one for males and one for females, in the back corridor. The female one is a one-room/stall and is clean. This place is located close to the edge of a plaza and parking wasn't a...

Im going to start off by saying that their food is really good. But way too expensive for simple rice and beans. Their Sandwich for 32” is like 35$ i don't know who came up with these prices but hey this is why i only been here twice in 2years. The Service for today 7/25/2024 was horrible. Lets put it this way. We asked for Water as our drink of choice. The Waitress then returns without our Water to take our order. I asked for Water. She then give me a snap on the back talk “oh I'm bring it now give me a second” so we ordered anyways, a platter of chicken breast, they says ok with Gallo Pinto? I said yes then she says ok you got 2 more sides. Ok House Salad (which is not so great) and sweet fried plantains. When the food comes out we were missing the Gallo Pinto rice? She said. Well you only had 2 sides (even tho she told us already gallo Pinto rice and 2 sides) so i told her ok let me get it on the side as an extra. Then she brings “White Rice” i mean ok something is wrong with this lady. So she gave me an attitude “oh you asked for RICE!” Ya i know. Gallo Pinto Rice?!? Get it together lady. Well i definitely will NEVER go back. Tried talking to a manager and of course this individual is not on sight. But heres a small review to read. You lost me...

16 Must-Try Cuban Sandwiches in Miami

First time here, we drove from the Redlands to try it out after seeing a reel on Instagram. It's a lovely little Cafe with a mellow jazz/pop ambiance music in the background. Our server, Eli, was super attentive from the moment we stepped in, with her beautiful warm smile. The menu is very simple and easy to read through. She shared with us the most popular items and a few she recommended herself. I ordered the Fritanga bowl with Jasmine rice, and I added a fried egg and avocado. My husband ordered the Sarussi Steak Bomb sandwich. We also ordered the Baby Pollo with fries for our son. We all devoured our food. It was so yummy! The homemade lemonade is so refreshing and delicious. We are about to try the brownie with ice cream. Overall we are very pleased and if we ever find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely stop by for a bite!

Ok so here's my take on Sarussi. The staff was very nice and helpful and everything was very clean. Starting off with the appetizer, we got the queso frito and mariquitas. The queso frito was delicioso. The mariquitas were good but I tend to like them a little thinner. As for the sandwiches. We ordered the churrasco sandwich and the chorizo sandwich both sándwiches were a bit smaller then advertised. With that being said the chorizo sandwich wasn't my favorite (to each their own) but the churrasco was yummy. The bread on both were toasted just right with some garlic butter spread on the outside. Overall a good experience and would revisit. Try it out.
