Red Ribbon Bakeshop — Restaurant in South San Francisco

We all know that Red Ribbon have great selection of food but I wanted to acknowledge how great and hospitable those people who works there. It happened on last year 12/23/23, I went there to buy some cake rolls. Then I had a call from my sister to buy some mamons and choco slices for her kids. So I went back there and the lady at the cashier told me that I came back (which means she pays attention to their customers). Then I asked the guy restocking their shelves, if they're selling a pack of choco slices so that I don't need to grab it individually. The guy said no but did offer to pack the choco slices for me. So I went to the counter to pay for my items and suddenly my other sister called me if I can do a quick grocery next to red ribbon, and since I was rushing, I left the store quickly forgetting my card in the card reader. Whenever I go to seafood city, this is one of the spots I have to go to before leaving. The place is small and clean. People who work here always greet you right away. My main go-to here is the sliced cakes like the yema caramel or chocolate mousse. I also like to get the butter mamon, yema caramel ensaimada, and cheesy ensaimada. I always recommend double-checking the dates on these. I saw so many complaints on the reviews about this, but I feel like it's a 2-way street. You can't assume. I personally always check the dates out of habit because not only do you want the freshest, but at the same time, you have to be practical. You can't buy and make your own variety and later realize it expires in a day or 2. It's not possible to eat a dozen in that time between 2 or 3 people. My mom likes the empanadas from here and the palabok. So there is something for everyone. The prices are a little expensive but it's a good thing to buy...

Whats the point of having good cakes if they won't sell them. Woman kept telling us to wait for our turn and a person came after us , bought her stuff and left. Worst possible service. They have sooo much stuff on top of counter, staff couldn't even see us or pretended not to see us. They had all the cakes on the display and said they didn't. I wanted to buy the one on display.
