Finally came early enough in the day to get a sandwich. It was a great experience to talk with the owner as he crafted my two sandwiches, offering me samples as we went. I am from Philly and Italian hoagies are made a certain way, so when I asked if he could do oil & vinegar he mixed up some on the spot for me, and more importantly my wife's sandwich. He will go down the line of what veg toppings or sauces you want and is very thorough in making sure you get exactly what you want. I mentioned my dog was waiting for me in the car so he sliced off a few nibbles of roast beef for him. I caught him at the right time and thought it would be nice to bring my dog in to the entrance, so they shared a sweet moment in meeting/giving him some roast beef.

This review is based solely on my experiences here. This store has had different owners over the years. This current one being my least favorite because he always tries to gyp me. Last time it happened I called him out on it and did all the math. I had my girlfriend go buy a bottle of alcohol with the price on the wall. She came out told me the price I calculated the California tax and the CRV and he overcharged her by more than a dollar. I've been a native to this area since birth and if he's doing this to me, he's doing it to others as well. The sandwiches are okay. I come from the East Coast, where we are very particular about our sandwiches. These sandwiches are excellent in every way. The Dutch crunch roll is fresh, the tomatoes are fresh, The owners mom behind the counter melts the The cheese onto the turkey before adding the cold items and then there is the special sauce that the owner has created. The sandwich was cut in half and wrapped into pieces. I ate one half for brunch. I had the other half for a late lunch. So nice. Such a nice family owned business. The coffee is also excellent.
