I don't usually write reviews, and when I do it's because something overly impressed me or I had a bad experience. Obviously from the one star it was a bad experience I think if I could give it no stars I would do that. I came to this place a couple years back and really liked the pizza, so when I found out that I was going to be in town for work I got excited and convinced a co-worker to come with me telling her that this is some of the best pizza in the area. The restaurant opened at 4 we were there at 4:45 with one other table ahead of us. We ordered and waited. When are pizza came to the table we were eager to dig in but then we noticed something was wrong. The meat on our pizza was raw. I'm not talking a little undercooked I'm talking raw. We then went to the counter and showed them the raw meat. (I am in the service business and I know that being rude or annoyed with a customer is not acceptable.) Another worker in the back came up and said let me see that. Of course they had to come look at the whole pizza as if we weren't telling the truth. We heard one remark from one of the workers in the back asking if we had been eating the pizza obviously we hadn't. They then said we would remake our pizza. This whole time they never said I'm sorry I apologize they acted like they had done nothing wrong one of the workers blamed the undercook meat on the pineapple as if the pineapple caused the meat to be undercooked. it wasn't even that much pineapple on the pizza to begin with. Then we sat down to play the waiting game. we waited another 45 minutes to get our next pizza and that pizza had some raw meat on it as well. there was hardly any sauce on the second pizza and there was very few pineapple. We even watched them prepare several to go pizzas before ours was ready. As we waited for our pizza another customer came in who had ordered a pizza and they messed up on that one too and we overheard them ask the man well do you want us to remake it it will take 10 minutes. He said yes and that he could wait for the pizza. We then overheard one of the workers tell him that they would comp his pizza. How does that work? they mess up his order and they give him a free pizza, they give us pizza with raw meat on it,and make us wait 45 minutes and they don't even say sorry! They didn't even apologize for their mistake when they brought out the new pizza. Why didn't we get our food comped? They didn't even say sorry as we walked out the door. My coworker as we left the restaurant said loudly you're welcome. Initially I was excited to share this little pizza joint with my friend but because of my experience I will never come back and I would never recommend this to place anybody else. Two things stick out in my mind... Raw hamburger meat on a pizza and no apologies for their mistake. Obviously they don't care about customer service. This was a...
Read moreRosie’s is a family tradition going back generations. Literally. My dad and I would always come here when we visited my grandparents in south sioux. We always get the Canadian bacon and black olive pizza.
I’ve had pizza from all around the country. Even New York style and Chicago style. Both of which are fantastic, but every time I visit my family in Nebraska, we make it a point to make the drive from Omaha to Rosie’s. I now live in California and I would still travel to get a Rosie’s pizza.
The sauce is a nice balance of sweetness, they put the sauce all the way to the edge of the crust, they’re generous on topping portions, they use the slices of Canadian bacon and not the crappy diced version, and the seasoning they use is magical. I literally can’t say a bad word about it.
On top of all that, it’s crazy cheap for what you get. We had 3 people in our group and a large fed us all comfortably with drinks for under $30. In this economy??? Come on. You’re lying if you think there’s a better pizza spot out there. I would’ve taken a photo, but I ate it too...
Read moreFirst off, call me bias. I don't care. This is my hometown. It wasn't a decision I had control over and I happened to move out early in life. That having been said, I've been coast to coast and over seas. I've made a point to have pizza in every location. Was it the best pizza that city had to offer...who knows. What I do know is that of all the pizza joints in the world, Rosies happened to be in mine. Hands down, Rosies continues to be the best pizza I've had in my life, in the country, and argueably...the world. Pretty bold...I know. I've had plenty of amazing pizzas in my life. They all get compared to Rosies. They...
