Some of the reviews here are complaining about the lady behind the counter being rude. I have to say, I come here on an almost daily basis, sometimes for both breakfast and lunch, and I can say with confidence that these reviews are unequivocally wrong. Even when extremely busy, she handles herself with grace. I have observed customers complain to her about coffee during rush hour traffic in an extremely rude manner, and when this occurred, she handled herself with grace. These customers were cranky elderly woman who I believe are biased against the register lady for personal reasons. The lady at the register has a knack for remembering the orders of repeat customers, is kind and respectful, and handles herself with grace during busy periods. I’ve been going to this deli for around 4 years, both at their new and old locations, I can say it’s one of the best places to get a quick bite to eat while supporting a local business. Love their early bird special with their egg sandwiches, $2.50 for a meat, egg and cheese sandwich! You can’t beat that especially with how expensive everything has gotten in recent years. The wicked chicken will always be a favorite for me, you can also order mobile with ChowNow which is convenient if you don’t want to call in. Service is great, the girl taking orders is always bright and social, always making for a wonderful experience. Both indoor and outdoor seating, right by the southbury green. I stopped in here for a breakfast sandwich after a hike in the nearby state park. I was amazed to find that the sandwiches were only $1.75 before 10am! We got a ham and egg whites sandwich and then a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. The sausage was really good, I think it added a good flavor.
