KRU Juice Bar — Restaurant in Southbury

1st time here. When I walked in I smiled and said hello to the young lady behind the counter. I got the side eye and she drops her head and continues doing whatever she was doing. An older lady came out, I said hi to her and smiled, still a very straight face, followed by what can I get you. I asked for a smoothie, she turns around, puts ingredients in the blender, leans in an says something to the younger girl. When she is done, rings me out...$11 and some change. I give her a $20, said keep the change. Still the straight face, no thank you, have a good day or nothing. So... good luck to your business. Obviously you pick and choose whom you are nice to. Nice owners, painfully slow service. Smoothie bowls were kind of bland. Lots of combos to try, and plenty of add-in powders if that's your thing. They also carry bagels from a local place but don't open very early so I'm not sure how fresh they are. Haven't tried their Jamaican beef patties yet but that's on the list. Appears to be very clean. We will try some other things on the menu. It's nice to have a healthful shop in town. It's located in a small plaza, across from Walgreens and not easy to notice their shop from the street, but they are in there! Parking is close to the front door and even if it looks crowded, the spots open quickly because it's next to the mailing/shipping store and those customers come...

I buy smoothies from the establishment on a regular basis. Today the costumer service was horrible. I accidentally split the drink when it was handed to me. Instead of remaking it they gave me a new cover. Once I went to the car I realize the cup was broken and leaking. I went back in and asked for it to be remade. Instead of just remaking it. They put it in a coffee cup and didn’t even have the decency to give me the plastic cup, that it usually comes in. $10 wasted. I’m disappointed in how they handled the situation because as soon as the drink spilled, my fault or not they should have just made me new one. Extremely...
