Puglia Pizzeria — Restaurant in Southbury

Just visited for the first time and bought two slices, one classic triangle pepperoni, and the second more of a Sicilian style, blistered, yellow and red cherry tomatoes. I am impressed. For the pepperoni, they use the 2 inch diameter and cover the entire slice. The slice itself is large. A good portion. Thin crust that holds its shape and has just the right crunch. Nice balance of cheese and tomato sauce.

The blistered cherry tomato slice was also excellent, tasty tomatoes blistered on a large rectangular base, no sauce. A little bit thicker than the Neapolitan.

I grabbed a takeout menu. The grinder selection looks excellent… Emphasis on Italian meats. The pastas also look solid.

The pricing of the pizza at $3.50 for the pepperoni and I believe it was $4.00 for the blistered tomato is OK by me for the size of the slices.

Update I’ve been back several times. The pizza’s great and the family that owns the joint is warm...

Where do I start with this? This was my first time here it will not be my last. The pizza was absolutely amazing. A friend of mine and I grabbed a large Margherita Verace and we added meatballs. We decided to eat in as we were attending the movies down the street.. the place has a few seats and tables. At least five tables. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, and they gave us some history on the chef. I was definitely full the rest of the evening. I can’t get over how delicious that pizza was. Today was their grand opening and I got to say the pizza was phenomenal. We got the monopoli pizza and the combination of the pepperoni sweet sausage and spicy salami was a very good mixture and the crust was very well crafted not too chewy not too tough had a light crisp to it and it was perfect.

We also got the Philly cheese steak grinder which too was fantastic. Enough steak peppers cheese to sustain myself and my fiance on only getting one but we're really sold us what is the level of toasted on the grinder roll.
