Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe — Restaurant in Southbury

I went there for the 1st time today after receiving a gift certificate for Christmas. I was going to pre order from their website and notice that the whole size sandwiches cost less than the half size sandwiches. I arrived at the store in Went to the back to place my order and to make a inquiry from the gentleman making the sandwiches he then proceeded to go to the front office and ask the CO owner name unknown an Asian Gal about the discrepancy. She then told me the website was being worked on and that were was a mistake. I ask if she can honor the price that was advertised and she told me flat out no. And called me an awful person. She apparently does not know the law and is required to honor an advertised price. Consumer affairs will be happy to learn of this and will levy a steep fine not to mention the attorney general. I then asked if I ordered it online Would that make a difference and she told me no. I proceeded to walk out of the store and she Followed me and again I politely asked her for the corporate phone number and her name and I started to video tape at which point she charged me and attacked me trying to grab my phone and hit me in the face scratching it. I left and was walking towards my car when her husband came to the door and started yelling at me saying he was gonna call the police and I told him go ahead because you will be getting your wife arrested for assault. I left and went home, had an anxiety attack had to take medication and my blood pressure went up and got a nose bleed all because I wanted to buy a sandwich and this person didn't want to honor the price of what was being Advertised. I would have thought she would have been appreciative and bringing that to her attention , but she wasn't . She only cared about loosening a dollar or two versus a customer for life. Apparently she doesn't know about the false advertising in the Connecticut general statutes and also doesn't know that she's not allowed the touch anybody let alone try to attack them and grab their phone and hit them in the face all of which I will be putting it on YouTube. I called and spoke to the husband and was very articulate and polite and he chose to hang up on me. As of Monday I will be consulting an attorney. Thank God for phones that have video. After calling another store I was able to get ahold of corporate and spoke to Tony, I believe the owner of all the Nardellis. He apologized and offered me a complimentary sandwich in the home store. I’ve been going to Nardelli‘s in Naugatuck for many many years and once they opened in Southbury, it has been nothing but but terrible in the beginning when they first opened I talked to the owner and also talked to Naugatuck the original store again I tried it probably been there six or seven times cost me $40 for a salad Again the grinder sandwich meat was cut so thick it was disgusting. No wonder it only took two seconds to make this sandwich I should’ve realized that and gave them step-by-step instructions but when I open the salad to see there were two pieces of meat and one piece of cheese for 12 bucks I thought That’s just awful. We’ll never go there again. I hope people start reading this and realize that the owner has never ever tried to correct anything couple of months ago apparently got rid of the men who were cutting the meat too thick walked in there yesterday and they had some new people making grinders again took them two seconds got home and almost dared on the sandwich $40 for basically the worst meal I have ever had and it’s not the first time what a shame because Nardelli is a wonderful place in Naugatuck the original so unless you give them step-by-step instructions, you can guarantee you will not be satisfied and like I said I have tried and talk to the owner several times about it, but he just doesn’t care apparently What a shame I used to love my brother, but if you want a good meal, go to...

Had a sour experience at the southbury location. This was my first time ordering here and was left with a bad impression. Upon entering I was warmly greeted and took sometime reviewing the menu. All was well until I was about to pay. I assume a trainee took my order and then called over a seasoned employee to assist with using the register. When reviewing the order the other employee stated that my order (combo meal) comes with a fountain drunk and a bag of chips to which I agreed to. Instead I wanted to swap the fountain drink for a bottled soda and was willing to pay the diffrence. When the employee saw my order they made a remark that also a large bag of chips i chose, did not qualify for the combo and a smaller bag would be needed. I was fine with that as it was my first time ordering from them. To mention, there were no smaller bags stocked at the time, only larger ones. What prompted me to write this review was that I was told by the cashier that "it's fine I can give you the deal with the larger bag of chips but for next time remember that the smaller bag of chips go with the combo. So next time when I'm not here you can't get it". This was expressed to me in a condescending manner.
