Al's Fresh Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Southfield

Probably one of the worst ordering experiences I've ever had. I was picking up an order for my mother in law, which was supposed to be ready at a specific time.

In the case of this order, I was asked if I knew the order number, there was no order number given to us. I then panick texted and called my mother in law asking if she knew what the order number was. She didn't.

I reapproach the counter and asked again, having a better understanding of what was ordered and when it was supposed to be ready. I said the time is was supposed to be ready and I am told "why didn't you say the time to begin with?".

I'm then told that it'll be 5 more minutes (at this point it's already 5 minutes past the time the order was supposed to be ready). when it is ready, I'm given two SCALDING hot aluminum pans, two bags of other assundry items that were ordered and sent on my way burning my hands til I get to my car.

Also, all three employees in the business we're wearing their masks under their noses... Needless to say it wasn't a...

Being super hungry and your taste buds are calling for fried catfish and chicken had my expectations very high. I ordered the catfish and wings and the catfish dinner. Didn't take long to get my food, and the smell was amazing. I couldn't even wait before I dug in, in my car, to taste a piece of fish, hand sanitized, of course. Oh my GOSH!! I just remembered leaning back and savoring the moment. It was excellent!! Seasoned perfectly, and I was happy that I had gotten more for later. Well, I thought I had more, my Nephew ate my other without my permission and I was not happy about that. At least he enjoyed it. My only complaint is, the pieces of fish are very small. It's like they take one filet and cut it into 3. Aside from that, it was perfect. This did taste like catfish, so please don't start swapping it out for Swai, and I'll continue to patronize. I'll recommend and I'll return. Sorry no photos was too hungry...

The first time I patronized Al's Fish I had a good experience. Today was not so good. I ordered a fish and shrimp combo and the fish was the size of my baby finger and there was cole slaw. It was like a kiddie meal. I spent a little over $21 for a kiddie meal. I called to tell them about how small my fish was and the guy asked me "what do you want me to do?". I told him I want my money back, he said he couldn't do that but he never offered me anything. My brother was going to go up there and ask for additional fish but I told him we just won't patronize their business anymore and the customer service rep said please don't and I said I won't and hung up. Terrible customer service and they don't try to satisfy...
