I've been going to the Plantsville Sliders pretty frequently for years. I'm a local and want them to do well. Love the setup with all the tvs. Great place to catch a game or take the kids. The boneless wings, at their best, are great, top notch. Unfortunately, they are extremely inconsistent, and of late, have been more consistently bad than good. A specific example: Saturday, January 20th I ordered boneless wings, very well done, medium buffalo as a takeout order for lunch - my standard order. These wings were amazing. Crispy with a great tasting sauce. If I could get the wings of this quality consistently I would probably order them 2-3 times a week and give Sliders a 5 star rating. In the picture I included, this is the wing on the right side of the plate. (It looks dry but actually had a good amount of sauce in the pan I didn't bother to mix it with for the photo). The sauce in the other picture I included is also on the right and was a great taste and texture. Because the wings were so great, I placed the exact same order on Sunday, January 21st. I was dreaming about these wings. Same time of day, same order, and take out. Unfortunately, these wings were very disappointing. Not crispy (despite choosing very well done) and the sauce was thin/broken with a weird aftertaste. This is frustratingly common (i.e. not a one off). I don't know if it truly comes through in the photos, but the wing on the left side of the photo was not crispy and the sauce in the left side of the other photo was very thin/broken and had a weird aftertaste that has become frustratingly common. Over the past few months, the wings have been more consistently disappointing than great. Sliders has always been a bit inconsistent, but I would say it used to be for every 2 good meals, you get 1 bad. I would say it's now the opposite, for every 1 good meal you get 2 bad. I've tried to isolate for variables (i.e. maybe when it's busy they rush the wings so they don't get as crispy, maybe they sit out too long, etc), but it seems completely random. A few years ago they added the option to pick crispiness level (regular, well done, very well done, extra well done). This seemed to help with consistency for a time, but it's now gotten back to the point where they are wildly inconsistent. My hypothesis on the crispiness level is just the temperature of the oil or length of cooking time varies by cook. My hypothesis on the thin/broken sauce with a weird aftertaste is the amount of grease/oil that gets in the sauce when the wings are mixed in. I had started going to a different wing place, but it's frustrating because I know how great the wings can be at their peak. My feedback to management is just please try to isolate for consistency. I've been going to Sliders for years, want you guys to be great, but of late the consistency is not there and hasn't been for a while.

I came to Sliders on a Saturday at 12:30pm with a friend. It wasn't very busy at that time. We sat in our booth for at least 20 minutes before a server came to us. We ordered drinks. I was given the wrong drink, which has happened 4 times now at Sliders... How hard is it?!? The wrong drink that was originally given to me, sat at the table the ENTIRE time we were there. Anyways, we wanted to play Keno and asked our server for some slips. We had to ask a 2nd time, because we were forgotten about. We were finally asked if we'd like to order food after 40 minutes at the table. I ordered 10 BONELESS wings and was given 10 BONE IN wings. My friend asked for 6 bone in wings, ALL FLATS. She was given 4 drums and 2 flats. Our server never used his note pad and honestly he should if he's just going to get the order wrong every time. After we got our food, we wanted to play another round of Keno, but was told that we had to go to the bar and give the bartender the paperwork. Why? We didn't have to do that the first time. I ordered 10 boneless wings to go and made sure I said the word BONELESS three times. They arrive and WOW, they are half the size they used to be and for the same price! Why have the wings gotten so much smaller?! Unbelievable! Honestly, this was the worst experience I have had at a Sliders and that is saying something because last October, we had a server who legitimately never came to our table. We had to ask another server to help us because he ignored us all night. Sliders has gone downhill. The customer service is crap. The wings are half the size, for the same price. And they always get my drinks wrong (I order a hard apple cider every time and somehow get given a beer or some other cider flavor every time!!). My friend and I will be finding another place to go to lunch from now on. Too bad too, because Sliders used to be great. *** New Edit *** I was contacted by the General Manager a couple days after my visit. She was very nice and apologetic. She offered to give me and my friend a full refund on our visit. She mentioned doing this more than once in our conversation. Several days later we received only a partial refund. I reached out about it and have heard nothing back. Maybe if she stuck to her word, we'd give this place another chance. As is, we will not. It's too bad, because the food is good, but the customer service... Not so much.

We used to visit the Sliders in Plantsville allll the time in high school, but once we graduated and went to college we didn’t get to come as often. We took a walk down memory lane and came back, and they are killing it! There’s several new wing flavors and menu items that caught our eye, and everything we had was fantastic! The nachos were especially great - we always appreciate when there’s plenty of toppings and layers of it with no bare chips. Sandwiches, wings, and drinks were all great! They were doing trivia when we were there too. Everything was clean and it was a nice vibe. This visit really reminded us why we always loved Sliders, and we’ll definitely be adding it back into our rotation of local places!

What a HORRIBLE experience. This isn’t the first time but it will be the last time we visit sliders due to horrible service. The past three times we have been there, there has been an issue. First we were being seated and a waitress didn’t want any more customers so she rudely gestured to the hostess not to seat us in her section (I’m sure she didn’t intend for us to see) then we waited 15 minutes before our order was taken, 15 minutes after that we got our drinks and 20 minutes after that our main dish were brought out before we even received our appetizers! We had to ask the bus boy where our appetizers were. During this time our waitress was MIA. We were then given our wings without plates or napkins. We had to get up and ask our waitress for our check at which point we spoke to the manager who seemed less than interested to have a discussion about the horrible service that was being provided during our time there. Our waitress finally came over 10 minutes later with a receipt and did not even apologize for any of the experience that we had and told us to have a good night We certainly are not difficult when it comes to service and generally do not make a big stink but this was the straw that broke the camels back. How many times can you give bad service and remain in business. The entire staff walked around not one with a hospitable demeanor. There is no excuse that “they weren’t staffed” as they were better staffed than on nights when we’ve gotten better service. Honestly the owners of sliders should really take a hard look at this location and the manager running it. She doesn’t...
